Attended a professional event here - the structure is a bit dated (low ceiling and somewhat cramped meeting rooms) but the accommodations were otherwise suitable. Friendly staff and nice proximity to the airport help. The restaurant on the ground floor is a great place to grab a bite.

A group of us booked 3 rooms for a business trip Sep 28-Oct 1. Upon arrival we were told that the reservation for 1 of the rooms could not be found so a new reservation had to be made but matching the lowest priced reservation of ours that they were able to locate.
Even though we only used 3 rooms as planned we had 4 different charges to our CC. One for $428.63 processed on 10/02 and three for $613.14, $495.01 and $495.01 processed on 10/03. Obviously, our original booking was in fact, in their system somewhere. Of course, the reservation with the lowest price point, booked at $428.63 was conveniently the one they were "unable to locate".
I called the Orlando Marriott Lakeside to report the extra charge on my CC and was told that it would be reversed.
Three weeks later, after seeing no sign of a refund, I called again only to be transferred to "someone in accounting" who was not available and did not have a voice mailbox capable of receiving messages.
I called once more and was again transferred, this time to someone with a functioning mailbox and left a message asking for a call back.
At this point, I've made my peace with the fact that neither my call nor my money will be returned. Luckily, there are many other options in the area for future trips planned next year.response / report this review -

Wonderful restaurant. We were treated very special. It was our birthdays and the waiter actually bought us a drink and the chef gave us a fabulous desert. Food was amazing.

Nice hotel rsstaurant and bar. Good food and atmosphere. Met friends visiting that were staying there. Great pool as well.

Nice clean hotel, restaurants are a hike, 1/2 mi. Had trouble getting into and out of lift bar parking lot, didn't see many people that didn't have trouble with their room card. You have to swipe to get out, which didn't make much sense. Internet was $10/day. Otherwise clean, comfortable beds and friendly staff.

The luncheon service was very good. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Food was good. Meeting room was huge! Lots of room for everyone.

Newly renovated rooms. The hotel is still under construction but there hasn't been any disruptions or noise. The hotel restaurant is pretty good. I wish they had better options but the food was fresh and tasted good.

The staff was outstanding. We stayed 3 days and had a chance to use many of the hotel amenities. The pool area and lakeside walkway were well maintained, relaxing to sit and enjoy the view. Pool had a unique shape and was fun to swim in.
We had several meals including breakfast, lunch and dinners. The food was good quality and very good tasting food. Staff worked at making sure we had a very positive experience. Manager gave me her card and said to contact her if she could do anything more to make our experience even better.
Rooms were a bit dated and had no microwave or frig. They did bring in a portable frig that had to sit on the floor.

I very thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. The service was EXCELLENT and everyone was very friendly and almost overly helpful. Back to back, the workers would inquire if I needed anything while I waited on my partner. It was great and the view. WOW!

Nice enough hotel. I stay here for work, so I'm not paying and don't know if it's a good deal or not. The restaurant is better than most hotel restaurants. Expensive food, but very tasty. There's a real chef behind their menu.

spend four nights here and enjoyed it thoroughly. It doesn't seem like an airport area hotel at all. I was surprised by the large, lovely poolside and lakeside lounging areas, very comfortable and welcoming. I was also surprised by how many birds we saw: ibises, herons, etc. The room was great -- exactly what we needed with no inconveniences at all. Also, the staff were all friendly and accommodating. Very rarely do I stay in a hotel where there's nothing to complain about. I'd definitely stay here again.response / report this review -

This hotel was great. Amazing experience. Everything was wonderful. Staff was great and the bed was super comfortable. I've never felt so at home in a hotel before as we did here. The staff treated us like we had known each other for years and just like we were family. If you're in the area, I recommend that you make this hotel your first choice. You won't regret it for sure. Safe travels.
