This was my third time eating at Old 27 Grill. The first time was for breakfast and it was okay. The last time I was there, I had a delicious burger. This time was horrible. First, we had two tables with a total of 10 people. Not really a big group. After everyone already had their drinks, they brought out three glasses of sweet tea. They were not ours. We told them they weren't ours, but they insisted they were and left them on our table anyway!?! I ordered a burger and it was very, very dry. This was disappointing because my previous experience here was pretty good. Now for the worst part: My husband ordered the chili. Big mistake. They brought him a bowl of canned hot dog chili. Seriously. It was canned hot dog chili. Why on earth this is offered on the "soup" menu is beyond me. On a chili dog, yes. As a meal, absolutely disgusting. Justno. Needless to say, that was sent back. The only saving grace to this experience was the fries. They are hand cut and delicious dipped in the ranch dressing. We ended up sending the burger home with our friend for his dog. It seems to be pretty hit or miss on quality. I don't know if they hired new kitchen staff, or if we just caught them on a bad day. Whatever you do, do NOT order chili.

Everything I've tried on the menu is amazing And they make their bacon right behind the song stage.

Personal favorite: the blended burger - 85% Angus Beef / 15% Smoked pork belly (made in house).

The Bacon is second to none! Everything was perfect! We had ribs, burgers, fries, sweet tea and all the bacon we could eat! Be sure to ask about the bacon and how it's done on site. Old 27 Grill is iconic to many locals in the area and well known across the globe by many for thier bacon. I highly recommend to all my friends and family. Last but not least dessert is AMAZING!

The food and service is awesome. Great atmosphere! Favorite dishes are the B&B burger with KEY'S Southern Spice and the shrimp tacos! Great locals place and flavors. Definitely recommend this establishment.

Food and service were great!!! I purchased a pound of Bill E bacon and had BLTs the next day. The bacon is thick and wide. It fries great and does not curl when you cook it as other bacon does. The flavor was unbelievable. So good that I wish I had purchased more.

This is one of the coolest restaurants I have been to.  The outdoor garden is great and the atmosphere makes this place a memorable trip to the Mobile Bay Area.  While I was there the owner came by and talked to us and made us feel like we were family.  Also make sure you order your burger with the in house Bacon.  It was a great addition to the burger.  I now tell all my friends and family when passing through to make sure they stop in and get some Bill-e bacon for the road.

Love the new menu! I was fortunate to meet the wonderful owner who was so gracious and sat with us for a moment to tell us all about his restaurant and the unique process they use in creating their soon-to-be world famous Bill-E's Bacon. We tried the new sampler appetizer and it was fantastic. The burgers are the not-so hidden gem here in my opinion. My family loved the unique setting and vibe and the live music added to the overall ambience. Definitely worth checking out. Our server was attentive and all our meals were correct the first time - help can be challenging as we all know but no problems this visit. I look forward to returning the next time I'm in the area. Definitely worth the trip IMHO!

Bizarre is the only word that comes to mind, because we've eaten at Old 27 a number of times that were fine, and tonight was enough to never go back. At 6PM, there were very few people (surprise) but the service was as if they had a full housethe girl had a sullen face on, and rarely showed it to the six of us at the table.

I had the burger and fries (my usual order) and the burger came out medium well instead of medium rare. Fries were bendable, not crisp at all.. and they were cool, not warm or hot. Bizarre.

We had to go find somebody to give us a bill because after waiting 10 minutes, it seemed like the best way to get out of there.

Has this place been recently sold to somebody that doesn't know what they're doing? It's too bad, because the old Old 27 was fun and good.

Good food and great atmosphere. We didn't order French fries with our brats, they are an additional charge. Our server brought us fries and charged us the extra $1 each even though we didn't order them. He was a little scarce, so we didn't have an opportunity to ask about the error. They were good anyway.

Absolutely adored this place- good food, great atmosphere, nice staff, average priced.
It's like having supper with your friends on the back porch. Relaxed, friendly, live music, enjoyable.
