Very good public park. It gets very busy on the weekends, especially when the YMCA has sports going. Plenty of good walking paths. Take the kids to the "Green" playground, then take a stroll on the walking paths. There are typically people playing basketball, if you want to get a game in. Also plenty of space for (reasonable) bikers on the paths. Watch your young ones,as the occasional biker goes too fast.

I love the bike trails here. It is a deeply forested park. I have never been here when it is too crowded. I look forward to my visits here very much.

Favorite park to access Leon Creek Greenway. Even though it's a city park it feels closer to a state park, quiet and tucked away in a thickly forested area. Plenty of unpaved trails that crisscross through the area, and plenty of deer too at certain times of day.

I grew up behind this place before it was a city park since then I've been back there the bike riding trails are amazing if there's been rain they have French Creek that flows through and it's beautiful and quiet on the left side to have a picnic area and a playground for children and the YMCA a great place for families that want to spend some time Outdoors

This a good park to go MTB it has several trail heads that connect the trails. For the most part the trails are not technical. The park has upper and lower single track trails. Make your way to the lower section towards the creek. There the trails go for miles out toward I.H. 10 and 1604 Highway. If you rather ride your bike on the paved trails, this is a good park to start from. Since there is plenty of free parking.

I have found this park to be the best in the surrounding area. I thoroughly enjoy the scenic nature trails, bike riding, and observing the wildlife. This gem is must see if you are an outdoor enthusiast.

Love this place we come here allot since it's close by. We see wildlife every time and the trails are clean. Depending on the day and time it could get kinda packed but not as bad as you would think. Plenty of picnic tables, some porta potties and an ok bath room could be better I guess. Great views on some parts of the trails. Great open fields too for sports.

A nice little park with several different things to bring you in! The YMCA for the area is here, with its pool, splash pad, and sports area, as well there's a kids park with the nice rubberized padding, and then there's the river trail head.
Despite being well within the city, it feels like a nice slice of the country side. We will definitely be coming back!

It's a nice place to go for a stroll. There are paved trails that are suitable for baby strollers. They have a playground near a pavilion. There's also deer in the wooded area that you can sometimes see from the paved trails.

Cute park and really large - much bigger than I would have expected for its location. Ended up walking my dog here but next time I'll be whipping out the mountain bike as there are plenty of trails to do so. Also, if you're into road biking the asphalt is in great condition and goes on for mile - highly recommend you get out of the house and make a visit here!

Love the park and this trail head! The NW side is great about always staying healthy and busy, pulling into the parking lot on a Monday afternoon or Saturday morning and you can see it clearly. Days during the week even stay moderately busy, I know that almost any time I take my little to the park she'll find someone to play with. The trail head is great for a family stroll, just beware of grumpy cyclists who think they own the path!

Great park. This park exceeds what you'd expect from a park in the middle of an urban area. It big enough to hike for hours and it offers plenty of off trail areas to explore. The biking trails are ample and well maintained. My dog loves going here

Really nice park. The paved trail is long and taken care of very well. The trails are really nice too. You can ride around all day and not really get bored or too tired. There are some more challenging parts, but overall a very nice place. The turn in might be easy to miss though if you're coming off Bandera.
