I am presently camping here and loving every moment! The cost for two days was very reasonable! We're right on the St. Marcos river and many places to fish and hike on their trails!

A very nice! The park is very maintained with the feel of nature. There is something to do and keep you and the kids busy. There's paddle boats, canoes, hiking and fishing. If you like to fish or the kids would like too state parks allow you to fish on shore without a license. Some even have loaners or rental rods. Just some FYI for those that would like to or just don't have a lot of fishing time so you never bought a license. The hiking trails are very relaxing and scenery is great. Once again you can walk it or bike it. It is a pet friendly park . They ask you pick up after your furry friend but you may be holding that bag for awhile there's no where to dispose of it on trail.

Great find in central Texas. Several easy, well marked gravel trails. There is a playground, canoeing, kayaking and peddle boating. The trails are bike-able too. If you are camping there are host families who are more than happy to assist. Great find for our family. There is a $3 per person fee for those 13yrs +.

Great park, clean, well maintained. Beautiful hiking trails, I especially enjoyed walking the Mesquite Flats trail in the morning. Showers were clean & water hot. It’s nice the HQ has snacks & beverages. I didn’t care for the $3 per day entrance fee in addition to campground fee, especially when staying multiple days.you enter once, pay once.

This was a wonderful place to camp and have some much needed nature time. Sadly the riverside campsites were flooded from too much rain but the rangers were helpful and got us a new campsite. We enjoyed the area they have clean restrooms and the little lake was fun. Lovely hikes and the whole family had a great trip!

Absolutely fantastic! Came in on a Wednesday and no one was therebeautiful trees and trails, great campsite next to the river, hardly any bees or ants. We had a great time :D

Friendly park guides were very helpful and accommodating, offered us a new spot when we noticed there wasn't too much shade in ours and were overall very helpful and attentive. Beautiful scenery, and a nice swimming spot if you're willing to hike over to it.

Worth the drive. Smaller park on the San Marcos River with several easy walking paths. Not a very high traffic park so nice and quietmakes it feel like you havw the whole place to yourself!

Nice state park. Some sites have no shade so be prepared if you are heading there in the summer. To get to the falls and the swimming area it is a little bit of a hike. Both of them have stairs so it is difficult to bring anything with wheels. It is also too difficult for small children to go down on their own.

Love this place. My wife and I were married at the pavilion in the park. Beautiful and all the amenities of Both the modern and classic camper.

Nice park lots of hiking and biking trails, kayak and paddle boats for rent, you can fish but good luck catching anything. RV spaces are spacious with picnic table, fire pit, and bbq grill.

Great Fishing at Oxbow Lake.Hubby caught a 7 pounder. Kids LOVE swimming, boating, fishing and just the whole experience.

I am a nature lover,birder and photographer. This is a perfect place for all three of the above! There are easy hiking trails and accommodations for campers from tents to travel traiers and even a few cabins. There is also fishing in both the San Marcos River and an oxbow lake. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to spend a day or a week or even longer!

We camped here with our young family and will definitely be back! Lots of shade in space 38. Short trails near by, quick trails that you can add on to your day to make you feel like you did a lot. Very friendly camp site host. Will be back, for sure.

One of my favorite places for overnight stays. Generous spaces, private and quiet. Fire pit, grill, picnic table on giant slab plus a tent slab on the back side of our space. Clean bathroom/shower with good hot water pressure. Love the easy trail (right outside my door from space #3) for walking our dog. Fun things for the Grandkids to do such as swimming, fishing, paddle boats, canoes and playground. Our camp host was friendly, attentive and helpful.
