I had all three of my children here and every visit got worse and worse. Would not recommend the epidural here. During my second birthing experience I received the epidural and it didn't work, the third pregnancy he put it in to close to an artery and had to remove it and do it again. Now i have limited mobility in my arm. I only had two nurses that I liked that wasn't complete fools. Will never forget the great experience I had with nurse Daisy. She was amazing. The nurses in the nursery are awful. My son had to do a car seat stress test before he could go home. He cried the entire hour. Instead of taking him out to comfort him they allowed him to sit there and cry. I regret not going in there and getting him myself. If a baby is crying for an hour you would think he is under some sort stress. Car rides were hell for the first four months till i gave in and bought a new car seat for him.

What kind of hospital make you wait in emergency. When people go to hospital in emergency , they expect to get treated immediately. If patient is dying , do they make you wait In the waiting room ? I rather go u of l then here , it was a mistake coming in here , thought closer to house makes it easier.

The nurses, staff and clergy went above and beyond when My Mother was there. She was moved to ICU unexpectedly, and both parts of the Hospital treated her and us very well! The kindness and care, and hugs, and treatment was unbelievable! Thank You all for your loving treatment of our family!

If I ever need to be hospitalized it would be anywhere but Norton Women's and Children. Starting with the amount of time at the ER for a dear friend to being admitted to getting information has been a total nightmare. The strangest part of all is that it seems to be the entire staff of every department that we encountered. It's like it's the first day on the job for everyone. They walk around as if they don't know where they're at or what's going on. I'm not the one hospitalized and this can not end soon enough. I hope that maybe we caught half of the hospital at a bad time and that others may have better experiences.

My son had to get tubes placed in his ears at the Pediatric Outpatient Surgery area this week. The nurses and staff went above and beyond!! This was the first surgery my son had, and it went seamlessly. The facility was top notch, and they took wonderful care of my baby boy. I will recommend them to anyone needing to have an outpatient surgery done on their child. Thank you so much Norton Women's and Children's Hospital. I couldn't have left my child in better hands!

Fantastic service, as long as you get the right nurse. Some of them are a bit rude, and you can clearly hear them talking about other staff members/patients as if it's high school. However, they do take good care of people. They just seem to forget that they're at work

Some of the staff was amazing! But most acted as if the day couldn't end soon enough! They took my jewelry from me ib the operation room. That was fine, but when i woke up, i wasnt thinking about my jewelry. I was in pain. Normal after surgery of course. When i left 2 days later, is when i realized that my jewelry was not on. Call them to see where it is and guess what? "Oh we dont know. Sorry." Will never return!

I have always loved this hospital. This is where I lived for 2 months while in Antepartum and then my Daughter was in the NICU for 1 month. The nurses are the absolute best in the world. Doctors too. However, the hospital has recently made a decision to eliminate the NICU Family Support Program Coordinator, Mary Beth Camp. This is the most horrible decision they could have made. I am sure it is budget based but that does not make it any better. Mary Beth was our lifeline during the most stressful and scary time in our lives. Please speak up if your life was touched by Mary Beth too!!! Normally I would give this hospital 5+ stars but not now with this current decision.

My 9 year old son had to have blood drawn so they decided to use an I v in case he needed medacin later. The One Stick method. The nurses were so nice to him. They calmly talked to him about the things to come and let him touch them. They even numbed the spot where they would poke him for his I v. I was Amazed!!! He didn't even feel it!!! Wow!!! They totally Rock!!!

I went to the cafeteria at 6:00 am. Sign says open at 6:00. At 6:15 the door was still not open. An employee looked at me and said they didn't open until 7. I explained that I had been at this hospital all night long and my best friend had just died. All I needed was a drink with caffeine. She finally let me in to get a drink. A mother employee just gave me and her a nasty look. I would give better than 1 star for the employee. But you need to change your open time.

Just experienced a terrible abusive scenario from NORTON'S ER ( suburban) now, women & children's hosp. The triage RN was so ugly. my daughter SOA ( short of air) w/ asthma. having difficulty talking due to breathing. the nurse wouldn't allow me in triage room to " assist" w/ giving history. the charge nurse was as ugly as the triage nurse. Must be very unhappy, controlling people. Maybe they will be good & sick some day & receive the kinda treatment they dispense.
