The woman who helped me with getting a permit was extremely rude. She treated me like an idiot because I don't know my license plate by heart. She got even more irritated and confused when I told her I was driving my work car and couldn't just walk outside and get it. By the time we were finished, she was throwing stuff across the counter at me. She couldn't be bothered with being polite or handing the pen and paperwork to me.

By far the worst experience I've ever had with this agency.

I called NCNP Wilderness Information Center asking about a simple question on Colonial Creek Campground. The person who answered said they were too busy ( I called around 10:30am on Thursday ) to give me one simple answer. Why this office is called Wilderness Info center if they cannot answer a simple question on a campsite. The staff member was rude and should not work in public relation office.

Without doubt THE best ranger station I have ever used.
Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable
They sell some dried food if you need extra for back packing.
They sell some park bits, magnets, hats, books etc.
They have lots of maps to buy, and look through.
The bathroom is clean, warm, and tidy.

Go there and get some great help with info about the surrounding area!
