A little loud, definitely dark. But the food was top notch, and felt well worth the price.

Everything was delicious, flavor combinations were a solid combination of traditional and innovative, keeping us on our toes. We went overboard on our selections, and it was under the price we expected for 4 plates and 2 drinks. And the pour on the tequila? Exceptionally generous. Not to mention the selection of taps, bottles, liquors, and cocktails available is top notch.

Almost docked a star for slow service, however it seems they've been hitting a boom in popularity and are a bit understaffed for servers on a Friday night. I hope this is something they can work on.

Really great place. Dark and intimate. The wood soaks up what little light there is. The mussels are delicious, if you get nothing else to eat. Music can get loud, but I just take that as a signal to move to the landing and hang out by the sub-box thumping next to the bench. Feels good. Staff is consistently friendly. Always a great mix of people, from professionals down to myself. No other place like this in Madison.

One of my favorite spots in Madison. It's totally unique. Dimly lit and comfortable, but typically noisy and upbeat. The food is delicious and varied for such a small menu, and the drink list has something for everyone. The only downsides are that it's basically impossible to find a spot for more than four people, and the service is often very slow. If you don't stay on top of the host when they're busy, you're likely to be forgotten.

Snug little place with fantastic craft cocktails. The menu is limited, but interesting, rotating, and prepared to perfection. Get the dumplings or mussels and you can't go wrong.

Great food, great service. Really unique food for the area. Cool interior. Never feels crowded. Special cocktails that are good and well priced. You can only pay in cash but they do have an ATM inside.

Can't believe I haven't addressed this place Good, seasonal food, lovely mixed drinks, wonderful wood fired oven Great place to impress hipsters. I feel warm and happy when I get to enjoy a meal here, but don't try to eat past ten. It gets crowded and loud with DJ realness.
