We had our Four Lakes Scuba holiday party there last night in the banquet room and loved it! We had almost 40 people with the baked chicken and fried fish served family style with salad upgrade option. Scheduling it was a breeze with Kathleen over email. The food was great. The service was very good. I would highly recommend this place for this type of event!

I was pleasantly surprised by how great the food was here!! We had driven by dozens of times but stopped for the 1st time a couple of weeks ago. Portions were big, good kids menu, great options for adults and prices reasonable. The service was also excellent! We were in town for the kids' hockey and were within a few miles from the rinkwe will be back the very next time we are in town!

Amazing place! Found Babe's with a search when visiting Madison from our home in West Bend. Perch was fantastic!! Lightly breaded, homemade slaw. 3rd place I've tried in Madison and this is one to return to. I'm sure there must be others but Babe's is the only one I've found that compares to my favorite - Wendt's on the Lake just north of Fond du Lac. Old Fashions were mint! The overall atmosphere is excellent - the place just feels good when you step inside.

As one of Madison's most popular sports bars, Babe's Bar and Grill is decent place for grabbing a beer and catching the big game with your friends. My dining experiences have been less than stellar though.

At my last visit, I ordered a steak and avocado quesadilla. The steak, while plentiful, didn't offer much flavor due to a lack of sear. The onions and peppers were sauteed long enough to soften them up, but not long enough to draw any flavor. The corn tortillas were dry and chewy and the slightly warm temperature of the dish make me think it sat for a while before it was delivered to me. The rice served with the dish had Mediterranean flavor profile that did not mesh with my Tex-Mex entree. The server seemed stretched and did not check in after the food was delivered.

Great food but parents of babies be warned. There is NO CHANGING TABLE! I think it's ridiculous for a family restaurant. We go there regularly and have asked several times for them to add one. Our daughter knows this and poops every time we go. I guess no more Babes for us

Hands down the best service in town!

The people are what make Babes truly special. I RECommend this fine establishment to anyone that loves life and enjoys being around the best staff in Madison.

Great sports bar and one of the first in Madison. Large dining and bar area with huge TV screens for sports. Big outside dining with a stage with weekend entertainment during summer.

This place has become one of my favorite hangouts after having practice with the local men's roller derby team. We can easily get a table for a large group (>6 people). They are quick to get us drinks and the food is great. The burgers are great, especially with the half price with a drink special on Mondays.

My girlfriend and I ate here a week ago and I was shocked by how horrible the food was. The waiter actually recommended the turkey sandwich I had too. The meat tasted like ground up condoms and salt. It was the lowest quality food meat I have EVER had. I wish I could say I'm exaggerating but I'm not. I've never even written a review for anything before but I just had to do this because a friend of mine said he ate here too after I was bitching about this place and he said he had a cheeseburger that was totally sickening. I know I'm not alone and every time someone says "hey babe" to there girlfriend I get pissed off because I start having flashbacks of the nasty food I was trying to force inside my body. I feel like an idiot for paying the bill I just didn't wanna snap in front of my girlfriend. Her food was also gross but not quite as offensive as mine. I'd be embarrassed to work there if I had to feed people dog crap on a plate everyday. I just had to get this off my chest. Hopefully one day I can forget about this day that I was screwed over by babes.

Came in to scope the place out since I got a new job in the area. Not only was the service/food/beer great, but after going out on the patio, I realized I had been here before. So I guess they also deserve a thank you for taking care of my inebriated self in the past as well. Much love.

This was my first visit to Babe's. We had lunch in a group and the food was surprisingly good quality and was delivered on time and correctly. Great experience.

Babes is a local favorite. Great food and drinks that are not priced through the roof. They have excellent catering and private party options as well. Their catering manager is wonderful!
