I have nothing but praise for Children's Hospital. My granddaughter was diagnosed with Leukemia at the end of June 2016. Every step of the way we have found the best from everyone. We feel safe here and have confidence in the entire staff. I was totally surprised of the concern and care the family is given. Thank you Children's for leading us thru this very difficult time.

Registration leaves a little much to be desired but after that the care (Which is the important part was excellent) My daughter leg was broken and there was a worry of internal injuries. They double and tripled check things and made sure everything was right. We where upstairs in about 4 hours (Which after a Xray and CT on a busy night was great). The rooms are huge and thought out not only for the patients but family as well. Nurses on the 10th floor where great and Jennifer was incredible. She made sure my daughter was in no pain and was as quiet as possible during check ups.
In morning the patient transport staff was very professional (Mike) He told us exactly where we where going and what was happening next. The staff at the OR prep area was so nice. (Amanda) Dr Ruggles she was great and had every thing fix and even checked up on us before we went home
The after care was just as good and I hope they hire a student named Liz in therapy She was great. Thank you all so very very much. Its nice when even the security guards are nice and smile.

We made the trek from Texas so that my son could get surgery here. The hospital is fantastic and they put lots of thought into how kids feel physically and mentally. The cafeteria is nice and the on-site parking is close and affordable.

    Woest experience ever!!!!
I had to bring my daughter to the ER thought they are the best.
Registration: long line & only one desk is open while there are 4. They get your information while standing & no chairs for at least the sick kid!!!
Nurse assistance: got called to take initial vitals, no forehead thermometer whole it's really necessary for fast & accurate readings plus easier to work on sick kids. The NA wasn't that pleasant to have the little girl get some comfort to work with.
This process took around 45 minuets. Then we were advised to sit in the waiting area.
Waiting area: wide yes but not well furnished to suit sick kids. Uncomfortable chairs & no toys to get kids attention away from any pain. After almost an hour we've been called for the registration again to give insurance information!!! Again, the desk in an open place without any chairs!!! Then we've been asked to go to waiting again!!! 30 minutes later called to get in for another information by the RN & told to go back to waiting area till we can see a doctor!!!
After 6 hrs sitting in the waiting room we've been finally called to be seen by the doctor. But you can imagine 2yrs sick little girls didn't have her right sleeping time in her bed how would be!!! I can't imagine a children hospital that is understaffed & doesn't qualify to be a hospital for those who are the weakest of all humans!!!
This hospital should be restructured, remodeled, staffed & managed in a better way otherwise it should be shut down!!!!

This is not everything but I believe this is a clue about the place !!!!

This looks like a common theme from the reviews. We went to the ED, and when we asked they said they weren't very busy. We were taken straight back and it took three hours with our little girl just to have one stitch on her toe. We live in Cincinnati and it was an unfortunate accident that she cut her toe. We could have driven all the way home to Cincinnati and been seen quicker at our Children's Hospital urgent care. We tried their Urgent Care and they said because it was stitches she needed to go to the ED. The room was filthy the floors were dirty. The doctor was supposedly ready and would be in and it took forever. I came home and a co-worker told me she took her son to CCHMC Urgent Care and they were in and out in 45 minutes for a cut across his forehead. The nurses were sitting aimlessly.
