Very pleasant interior, great environment. I grew up on heavily seasoned food, so this place may not be for me. The food was cooked well, however. I was at a company event, and ate braised steak and honey truffle chicken. It was all well cooked but a bit bland for my taste.

My husband and I recently moved to the area and my brother was in town for a visit. We wanted to try out a new restaurant, so we made reservations at DeNovo. When we first arrived we were sat at a table in the bar. The bartender/server greeted us and was very rude/condescending. He never introduced himself, and when we asked what was on tap or about the whiskey selection he pointed to the bar and said “it’s over there”. We were then pressured to order entrees quickly. The server then forgot what my husband had ordered so he came back over to ask again. When our food came out the order was wrong, they had brought out a chicken sandwich instead of a turkey club, but our server was no where to be found at this point. We were extremely disappointed with the service and food. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Food was really good, service was awesome. For a.fancy night out,.it's a good choice. Much of the dinning room overlooks Columbus Commons which is pretty cool!

Atmosphere and overall attire of the restaurant is great!! Felt like an NOLA restaurant tucked into the frenchquarter however great views of the commons stage. Tried kangaroo for the first time and it was delicious! Loved all the food and mules.

We've been to De Novo in the past and thought the food was exceptional. When they moved to their new location we were excited to have that same exceptional food in a much nicer environment. Unfortunately we were gravely disappointed. Despite having made reservations a week in advance, we were seated at what had to the be worst table in the restaurant - behind a concrete pillar right by the door to the kitchen. As there were several tables open, we asked to be moved and were told there were no available tables (despite the evidence of our eyes). The waiter was initially condescending and only warmed up to us when he realized we weren't "Down from Powell for date night" but were in fact German Village natives. The food was fine, but our night out was essentially ruined by the service and attitude of the staff. We haven't been back since, and don't expect to be. We can get much better food - and service - and ambiance - from many restaurants in town. If you want a great meal with exceptional service in the same general area, I'd recommend you try The Guildhouse, Copious, or Barcelona's instead.

Delicious! Perfect portion sizes, elevated dishes. Great service! Also the decor is amazing and a great view of the park. I definitely have to come back and try other dishes!

Addition: visited again for dinner. Another great experience and service was amazing. They had a wine tasting deal that was too good to pass up as well :)

The atmosphere was great. Service is extraordinary. Restaurant Week at the Columbus Commons was a delightful scene at this location. We dined there for the 3 course meal which had several selections. The 2nd course arrived first but we didn't think anything of it because it was the exact meal for the table. However, when cutting into a VERY rare steak we called attention to the server that medium was ordered. It was then that they realized our 1st course had not arrived. After apologies, they told us to return the steak and the other meal was complementary. Then soup (excellent) and short ribs came out as an appetizer. Now, we are full but our replacement main courses arrived. The steak was NOT up to par and the other dish was cold. Another server then arrived with a random dessert that we didn't order, we were told that it was for our table when an attempt was made to return it. Now, our 3rd course arrives. After several apologies, we think the food nightmare is over. A generous tip was left in cash when the bill was placed on my card. A few days later, the tip showed up on my card as well as the cost of the meal.

    This place was incredible.

I could of sat and talked to the super friendly staff all day. The Truffle burger is in the top 5 best burgers I've ever had, the sangria was awesome too I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and Dante and the rest of the staff helped make it an incredibly special evening. Thanks so much guys.

Went for a birthday brunch. Staff were not IN ANY WAY welcoming or inviting when we walked in. No smiles, no hello how are you, no welcome to, nothing but a quick nasty stare and looking away expecting us to just know that they were looking for our seats and that we needed to follow. The bathrooms were dirty (one with poo in the toilet and one with a bunch of toilet paper in the toilet), the servers (all but one) ignored our hands waving for them (they saw us), the food was bland, and we weren't checked on very often AT ALL. Also, the hostess blew the surprise when the birthday girl came in. Very nice decor and set up but the service sucked and it could've been cleaner. Funny thing is we were "greeted" at the door with have a nice days and door holding and thank yous WHEN WE WERE LEAVING!! A little backwards ya think? Maybe they just didn't want us there Hmm.

Terrible experience. The food is not good and overpriced. Lobster Mac and cheese came cold, had to ask the waiter to reheat it. Asiago gnocchi were super dry and tasteless, and almost cold. Peppercorn salad was really bare, and the tomatoes we asked to get on the side never came. The waiter was barely polite, but we had to pay 20% gratuity already included in the tab because we were a group. Don't waste your money there.

Nice atmosphere with good drinks. Food arrived dry, with sides cold. Way over priced. Service was poorly delivered. Asked server to take a picture of our group of 9 He literally cut one person out of all 3 pics he took. How is that even a thing?
