Very interesting. We had a good time. Learned a lot of new things. Great experience for the kids.
There were some interesting exhibits and an interactive/educational play area which was good for younger children. The entrance fee was reasonably priced, and parking was inexpensive nearby. I felt the majority of the exhibits were geared towards younger children, which is a shame speaking as an adult who loves a good science museum. However, the worst bit for me were the several very tiny animal exhibits featuring animals living by themselves that would normally live in groups which I felt was incredibly inappropriate both for the animals and in the limited information these exhibits actually provided to visitors. Would not recommend to visit this museum for this reason alone.
The museum is a decent size. It doesn't have a cafeteria. The 2 floors of science and museum items are great for visitors. I was surprised that there were some 4D rides which were free. I was also surprised that there are some that are charged.
Great atmosphere and attractions. Only downside was the extra charge for some attractions and a couple of them weren't open. Went with a group of adults on a Tuesday and still had lots of fun. Employees were amazing.
Wonderful museum full of fun and educational activities for children, yet adults can still find enjoyment here too so they won't be bored taking their kids. Yes, it's a bit older and some pavilions show their age, but most children don't seem to notice or care. I loved coming here as a child, now that I've gone with a child I've seen it from a new angle and I enjoyed it once again. I was there with a 6 year old and we did about 95% of the museum and a 45 minute IMAX movie in the space of 4 1/2 hours, another 30 minutes and we would have done it all.
If you have been here a few times as I have it gets a bit boring. There aren't many things to do. My 3 year old enjoyed the boat and water play zone in the play area. She didn't like the everglades ride and they charge an additional fee for the 7D ride. There should be an upgrade of the exhibits. The airplane exhibit has been there over a year.
Great place to be with your kids. A lot of interactive stands, aircraft's cabins, 5d and 7d theaters. Good price for the exhibition. Unfortunately, free parking is not available - need to use parking next to the building (special price $5 for 5 hours).
My kids and I love this museum. I've been coming here since I was in elementary school and it has only gotten better over time. Yes, there are things that don't work, as can be expected when hundreds of people come to interact with the exhibits. Every museum will be the same. What matters is that the staff are friendly and helpful, the exhibits are engaging, and children are having fun and learning at the same time.
The facility is wheelchair accessible, stroller-friendly, kid-friendly. There is a Subway and Auntie Anne's on site for a lunch or snack break with most of the seating outdoors in the shade.
My children enjoy the play area and the exhibits every time we go, and we go at least 6 times a year.
The museum is great for people of all ages, especially for kids and adults who are young at heart. Great animal interactions with the otter exhibit especially.
Do not go to the attached I-Max theater. The customer service and way they treat patrons is horrible.
Their website says people stay about 3 to 4 hours, I have a 6 year old and a 16 year old and we were still out in an hour and a half. Gift shop doesn't sell batteries so if you need them for your camera, bring some with you. Their bathrooms were so gross! Toilets plugged, food and trash all over the floor and no toilet paper in 4 out of 6 stalls. Waited almost 10 minutes for air boat adventure and as we were about to get on, the staff member that was there, stated my son could not ride because of his shoulder injury. We were first in line, standing there in front of her face, his arm in a sling but waited until we were getting on the ride to tell us he couldn't ride. Maybe if she hadn't been on her phone! The cost to get in and to park is way to much for what they offer. Will NEVER come back again. Definitely not worth the money!!
The museum was super cool. There were plenty of things to learn about. It was geared towards anyone interested in any type of science. I love the interaction stations upstairs. If you like learning or science this is definitely a great place to go.
Nice place but short on good exibits. They have had most of the same things for years. Nice for a one time visit but nothing to keep you coming back. The kids seem to enjoy it though.
I wanted to visit this museum because it is known as the most visited Museum in the state. I had read reviews saying there is something here for everyone. However, this museum is definitely for children. Not to say I didn't have a good time, but be prepared for 500 children running in front of you everywhere you turn. Very interactive place and I can imagine kids having a lot of fun here.
