This place will always have a special place in my heart. It's a cool spot with always great staff, and the Porters and Stouts are always excellent. Great food completes the experience. Boulder's beer choices can almost seem unending, so make sure you don't forget this gem on Pearl.

Absolutely fantastic service. Fun, friendly and happy staff. Free tasting of any beer you're interested in, the food's not too shaby either. Can't wait to come back!

Fantastic beer that is very reasonably priced. The service was excellent and the bartender was very happy to explain the beers and make recommendations based on our tastes. Was only there for drinks, but hope to go back and try the food!

CASH ONLY - just wanted to make sure that if you go here you have cash or a local check. Enjoyed a good meal outdoors and good people watching nonetheless. I had their steak sandwich and my wife had the bison burger. They both were delicious with exceptional service to boot.

Great place. Great atmosphere. The servers and bartenders we're all attentive and friendly. I had a few of their house brews and a burger. I was blown away by the experience. I'll definitely be back.

Really enjoyed this place. Our waiter brought us tons of different beer samples based on our preferences. He just kept bringing samples till we settled on some we really liked. No pressure to make a decision and infact he was encouraging us to try them all. He was also knowledgeable about beer and loved to talk about each brew. The food was also amazing. We had a grilled Buffalo chicken sandwich that was very tasty. The prices were very reasonable and I loved that I could get a half pour. Just remember to bring cash as they don't take credit.

When you think of how Boulder used to be, and how most of us still want it to be, you think of the Sun. If you are visiting Boulder, this is a must for the vibe/atmosphere. Good bar food with rotating, unique specials. They can accommodate vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters alike.
The beer is why you come here though. Samplers are always available, as are flights.

Great beer! Great staff! I love this place. The team service ensures you are never left with an empty glass. The beer is reliably delicious, interesting and well crafted. Dinner and lunch plates are ways great too.

Hipster heaven
If you have spindly arms, a ridiculous beard, and a puffy down jacket then this is the place for you. It also has a great craft beer and wine selection. The food is good with all the modern selections : organic, vegan, gluten free, soy free

There are a lot of these kinds of places all around Boulder. So much that none of them really stood out as having better beer or better food than the other. I seemed to eat at a different one each night and they all had great burgers and fries. And the beer? Well, it's all good but I do feel like we either need to figure out new things to do with Beer or come up with alternatives to making your IPA with so many hops it makes its ancestors bitter.

A really cool place, very interesting to say the least. The wait staff was very friendly and very passionate about the restaurant. The food was pretty good and they had a lot of interesting options. Great beer selection. Here comes the best part it is a cash only restaurant and they do have an atmosphere in the back, and they informed us of all of this when we sat down they also informed us that they also took checks or they sent your bill home with you in a self addressed envelope so that you can mail back a check or money for your meal should you not have a debit card or cash on you. It blew my mind.

One of the best brew pubs I've ever been to. Excellent selection for whatever your taste in beer might be. Always cold and good pairings with the food. The waitstaff is always friendly and has always given us great service, even when they were busy. I've tried many items from the menu, but my favorite has to be a classic burger and fries. large, juicy but not greasy and cooked to perfection. Nothing but good to say about the Mountain Sun, give them a try!
