Absolutely amazing evening. The only thing better than the exceptional food was the incredible service. Would go again in a second.
Crispy lobster is a must. As is the elk tostada and the charred octopus. All of our entrees were amazing. And the desert is beautiful
Came here for happy hour. Arrived just as it started, and had the entire upstairs to ourselves. Had it been darker it might have been more romantic, but it felt a little funny having happy hour in the daylight all alone as the staff prepared for the dinner rush downstairs. The food and drinks were incredible, and the service was friendly. Anything less than prompt wouldn't have made sense considering there was no one else there! There were more people coming as we wrapped up, and we didn't stay long (just a drink each and a couple of small plates). I'd really like to come back for dinner, or perhaps happy hour again but a little further in when there were more people and some ambient noise around. Cool little historical spot!
Awesome food. 5 star dining for sure. Not good for small children. It can be done. But we took our 10 month old and 3 year old and it felt like we were the loudest people. Romantic place. Place for foodies. Date nights.
Happy hour was great! Food was amazing and the prices were very affordable. Great views of the 10 mile range from the second floor! I highly recommend Hearthstone.
Cool, retro atmosphere, excellent service and outstanding food. Dined solo at the bar and enjoyed the bartender’s company. Had the octopus and mushroom soup (both awesome, esp the soup - truffle oil puts it over the top) followed by the hanger steak which was surprisingly delicious and perfectly cooked. I can’t wait to go back and bring people
Food was excellent! Atmosphere was nice and our Server, Adam was very knowledgeable attentive and engaging. The crispy lobster and lamb were awesome!
Service and food were excellent for an after wedding dinner for a group of 20. Jen C. worked with us to arrange a great menu in advance that was delicious. All the staff delivered on execution. Would highly recommend Hearthstone for a group gathering or dinner anytime!
Excellent choice for our anniversary dinner. Beautiful old Victorian home with views of the mountains. Ben was a fantastic waiter, and provided perfect suggestions. Cheese plate was outstanding. We both had seafood (halibut and scallops). Both were delicious. Oh, and upon being seated we were presented with a complimentary small glass of sparkling wine. Great spot for a romantic dinner.
Had an incredible meal here last night. For dessert, I highly recommend the Cake and Shake ;)
Every time I bring my girlfriend to the 3 course meal deal it is always a great meal and a great time. I enjoy bringing here there.
Hearthstone is the best dining in Breckenridge, period! Fine Colorado-themed cuisine, good portions, and perfect service are always consistent. The lamb special and butcher's steak are fantastic but you truly can't go wrong. 5-stars every single time!
Hearthstone may be the premier dining establishment in Breck. For an upscale and delicious meal, this is the place to go. The decor is a little old fashioned and stuffy for my taste, but at least the table by the bay window we got afforded nice views of the outside and not the other patrons who averaged an extra 6 presidential administrations in their lifetime than us. The food was absolutely awesome though. The crispy octopus was seared to perfection with nice flavor. The fried lobster tails were nice and crispy while not getting dried out. The main dishes were the stars though. The rack of Colorado lamb was a perfect rare with awesome seasoning and sear with tons of juicy flavor. The elk was similarly succulent and tender with a flavor bomb of taste inside. Even the cocktails were quite good. My vodka martini had a nice bite that was tempered with a twist of citrus. It’s a great place to celebrate a special occasion or just a great day on the slopes.
Let me start off by saying that this is a very good restaurant, but it's also a VERY expensive restaurant. I got an elk steak ($45), and it was good. Don't waste your time with the appetizers though. We had a couple and they're good, but they all cost about $14 each and only provide a tiny portion of food. Three bites and they're gone. Staff was friendly. Overall I really wouldn't want to come back. I just don't feel like it's worth it.
