The staff was nice. The cabin we stayed in was nice and was cute. It snowed us in and couldn't really enjoy it. The cabin only had one little heater to heat it so it was cold but we was provided another heater to keep warm. Also had a electric blanket on the bed and was cozy in bed. Overall it was okay.

Website is misleading, was in a RV and cable tv is for cabins only, WiFi is free but only works if your 10 feet from the office, only able to pick up one digital broadcast channel, RV sites not labeled make sure you show up before dark, staff was nice but don’t think I will be back.

Nice place for a car but a challenge for a motorcycle. Especially if you get a regular cabin. The cabins are all uphill which the road is all very loose dirt and rocks. Getting up is not the issue but getting down is a challenge trying to stop or having to turn with such loose dirt and gravel that is like driving on ice. 3 people went down on there bikes from my group trying to get down. From then on we just parked our bikes at the bottom and walked up to our cabins. I even too a friend's pickup truck up the hill and the rear wheels were slipping on the gravel. If in a motorcycle I would recommend either to camp or to get one of the rustic cabins because they are at the bottom of the hill and much easier to get to. The owner was very nice and welcoming. The cabins were clean and comfortable. The water had a very strong sulfur smell to it.

Great location and the perfect way to spend a few days relaxing during Spring Break! We arrived a bit after check-in time but were able to arrange for getting settled in. The cabin was beautiful and even better than expected based on the pictures. The fireplace worked flawlessly and the sound system in place let us relax to some good music while cooking or sitting on the porch. Mountain Rest Cabins is very conveniently located near Oconee State Park, some very close by hiking for Waterfalls, and many smaller lakes to explore. The cost for the cabin was very reasonable and enticing compared to other options in the area. I'm pretty sure we'll be coming back!

Mountain Rest Cabins & campgrounds is such a fun, peaceful & healing place, I'd fall asleep with the sound of the creek below.Every cabin has its own barbecue & fire pit. I liked the diversity of their cabins facilities, you can choose to stay in a fully equipped one or a primitive one, I chose primitive.
The owner is very nice & accommodating. I stayed for 3 months Aug thru Oct. My Nikon captured the magical change of the season & had 8 members of my family come visit & experience the beautiful mountain paradise I was living in.

Looking forward to coming back.
