We had our daughter’s wedding at the Hemlock and it was absolutely wonderful! The scenery really speaks for itself—stunning! Mr. White went above and beyond for all our guests and for the wedding! If there was any concern, he reacted quickly to resolve any questions or concerns! The food was excellent! The warm, rustic feel is like being home! The staff was awesome too! The best decision to have her wedding at the Hemlock Inn!!!

My wife and I stayed at Hemlock Inn in 1989 on our honeymoon. The owner, John, was a perfect host. The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere was very grace-filled and peaceful, the environment and hospitality were excellent, and the cottage we stayed in was private - just what we wanted. It was a great start to a marriage; we made awesome memories. We were transiting the area this summer and stopped by for the first time since our honeymoon. I was pleased to find that John's son-in-law is now running the place and that it continues to be a place of sanctuary and peace. The dining room with the lazy-susan's was as beautiful as we remembered. We spent a lot of time on the grounds, visiting "our" cottage, and rummaging through the gift shop. This remains a very special place.

Old school inn with Christian values. What they say on their web page is so true. Family oriented with activities for all ages if you wish to engage!! My kids were 6, 11, & 15 and all enjoyed their stay!

Beautiful and relaxing. A perfect retreat for couples seeking a quiet getaway. Kids should be old enough to read and play games as there is no pool.

Went to a wedding that was held here. The stay was wonderful. Rooms were big, but the winner was the food! I could not say enough about the service of dinner or how accommodating the owner was. I would recommend this location to anyone staying in Bryson City.

This place is a treasure! Quite mountain resort. Reasonably priced. Clean and in good repair. Mort and Laney White (owners) are friendly, helpful and wonderful people! The country cooked meals and family styled dining is amazing! This is the place to get-away from it all! Rooms are all country themed with beautiful hand crafted quilts on the antique beds! and antique furnishings are amazing! Then they have cottages for larger families. With washers and dryers, fireplaces and decks overlooking the mountains! Nature trails that really makes that quite country settings come alive! There's a gameroom and T.V room. I haven't been there in a couple of years but this is how it was! This is more than just a place to sleep! This is an experience you need to have! To the Whites you aren't just guest, you're extended family! This is their home and all are welcomed!

If you want serenity, beautifully scenery, nice clean rooms, great food and a staff that goes the extra mile to make your visit pleasurable and memorable this is the inn for you.
They may not have a pool but there are many nearby activities that more than make up for that. There are no TV"s in the rooms but you get to meet and talk with many of the wonderful guests at dinner or sitting out on the panoramic deck in red rocking chairs.
We loved our time here and will definitely be back.

Staying here is like stepping back in time. The owners are so welcoming, the hotel itself is charming with a comforting rustic feel. The views are incredible. When we went, our kids played hide n' seek in the evening and caught lightning bugs with another child staying there. They have a sweet little magical library with hundreds of books (no televisions). The food was actually really good and the meals were social but laid back. Really, I can't say enough about the owners. They really set the tone for this sweet, peaceful place tucked away in the mountains.
