Nice place. Nice staff. Clean rooms and property. Pet friendly (for a nominal fee). Definitely worth stopping for. They'll leave the light on! Lol
Beds and pillows were super soft and comfy. Room was relatively clean. Towels were rough, microwave was from the 80s.
Great stay. Will return. Nice clean room.
We don't expect bells and whistles at motel. The staff , Frank, was friendly and helpful when we checked in. There was no one at the desk when we checked out. The room needed the floors, baseboard and corners of everything cleaned. My husband found popcorn in the corner of the bed and there was a large hairball on my side. The lack of cleanliness is why it gets a 3. It looks good from the outside.
The owner is very courteous and knowledgeable of the surrounding area and it's attractions. The room and bathroom were clean, and the mini fridge and microwave were just what we needed on our 3 night stay. I felt safe staying there as a single woman with her daughter. Our dog and cat were with us, which is why I usually look to Motel 6 and their super friendly pet policy. I really liked the wood floors as opposed to carpeting. It felt much cleaner. Little noise and activity after 10pm. Certainly can't beat the price. Will definitely be making a trip back and staying there again!
Usually, I only travel a couple of times a year. For 30 years or so, I have been staying at Motel 6 whenever I can because of its pledge to be the least expensive national motel at each location.
Because M6 is the least expensive, I expect the quality of the room to be low relative to other national chains. Because of M6's commitment to quality, I expect the quality of the room to be acceptable.
I found this to be true in Cookeville, TN. The room was clean, but a little shabby, and everything worked properly.
I am completely satisfied with my stay.
Charlene was super helpful the several times I spoke with her before our arrival. Overall friendly staff, very accommodating. Paul, not so much. I must say the worst part was at the very end of our stay as we checked for things left behind finding a used condom under the bed (between wall and platform) was unsettling, but I am grateful it was the last day, otherwise we would have felt totally different. Next time we will check before plopping down, not when we leave. Housekeeping could be more thorough obviously.
It is a beautiful location where I have stayed before, and I had made a guaranteed reservation two weeks in advance, requesting if possible a handicapped room, or at least one on the first floor. when I arrived, I was assigned to an upstairs room in the back building down the hill. I'm 77, partially disabled, have had two knee replacements and am travelling alone. There was no help to lug my suitcase up a narrow rickety wooden stairway with handrail on only one side, and so far from the ice machine that I had to drive back to where it is to get ice. If they were so booked that this was actually the best they could do, I suppose it was better than being sent away with no room at all, but it was really difficult for me to get to the room at all, and equally difficult and dangerous to get the suitcase back down to the car in the morning. The room was clean and so was the property, but it seemed to me that there were lots of able-bodied people blithely going in and out of their first floor rooms who could jut as easily have handled the stairs to an upstairs room so that a handicapped person could at least stay in a ground floor room.
When looked through all the photos and reviews before booking. When we arrived we were charged extra for my husband, the room smelled and the bedding had stains. The appliances where old and the craftsmanship of the work done one the room was poor at best. I would not stay at this hotel again.
Rooms are adequate but could be improved. Hangers for clothes used up very quickly. Would be better to have a conventional rack. There a just two short rods attached to the wall ..
Workers there foriegn, speaking language amongst themselves while English speaking guests are present They would not like it if situation were reversed. America,,,,,speak English
This location has a very difficult parking layout. Not much to do about it because of the swimming pool location.
No breakfast, no donuts, no nothing. NOt good. Coffee ,,,beyond terrible. The coffee at the Marathon station , right next door .excellent.
Make sure of the price while booking. Very sure
Moe , the manager is very good. Difficulties ,,,,his specialty.
May want to take private towels with you. The towels in the rooms are VERY thin. But watch 'emStaff will pick them up..
It is a shame there is no breakfast, or anything in the way of food.
Night manager , Frank is also very good
We saw only one bug.
It was a great stay for one night. We had a nice air condition room, and the TV worked fine. They have a outside pool, didnt swim but the other guest seemed to like it. My only complaint is the sheets/towels/blankets smelled like cigarette smoke, and we were in a non smoking room.
I've never seen a motel 6 so clean. No cigarette butts anywhere. The room was a good size. Look and smells clean. The front destination was very friendly. The location was quiet even if its by the fwy One thing that I noticed that I didn't like was the pillows. All pillows were very old and deformed. Aside from that, everything was thumbs up. We had a good night sleep after travelling for so many hours. Thank you so much
This Motel 6 has been completely renovated and the rooms were very modern and clean. The only small issue (which turned into a non-issue) was the old heater/AC unit. It was cool and wanted to turn on the heater. It took about 5 minutes to finally come on. It's a 1960's model, but if it's not broken, don't need to fix it. Parking lot is quite small, but able to park. I would recommend this hotel for a nice, budget hotel. One of the best I've stayed at and the best hotel out of three I stayed in during this trip. For Motel 6, this one was 5 star for me!
