The bathroom was so nasty that we couldn't even shower. There were all kinds of gross stains on the carpet. The bedspreads were nasty and had a hella lot of cigarette holes in them. On the bright side, parking was easy and convenient and the price was super cheap, but not cheap enough to stay at ever again. The staff were very nice and helpful too!

This place is the worse. I walked in the room and immediately walked out to get a refund.
After paying for the room, my wife and I slowly drive back to where our room was located. We drove slowly because there is absolutely no lighting on this maze of a campus. Not only is the lighting non-existent, there is also a slew of unsavory characters (both males and females) lurking in depths of this shady and shadowy place.
Finally we pull up to our room. My wife, full of anxiety, chose to stay in the running car, while I checked out the scene.
As soon as I opened the room door, I was greeted by the musty stench of an absolutely FILTHY carpet. Both beds were sunken in and the lights were so dim, that I barely noticed the cracks in the paint around the door way.
My intentions were to take pictures of the destitute conditions of this place. However I could not stomach the smell long enough to take one good picture.
I drove back to the front office with no hesitation. I walk in and side-stepped some shirtless drunkard talking to a maintenance man. What is the maintenance man maintaining is beyond me. I told the clerk (the same clerk who checked me in) that I needed a refund. She didn't even bother asking me why. She immediately handed me a form, I filled it out and she said I could expect my refund in 7-10 business days(the refund was actually credited back to my credit card on the next business day).
So the best thing about this hotel is the speed in which they returned my money. This place sucks!!!

Room was clean, nothing spectacular. Just a place to stay the night and rest up for the next leg of my trip. Little TV was kinda funny. They make flat screens nowadays. Bathroom floor was shaky, thought I would fall through One of the beds was sunken in, the other bed was ok. Desk clerk was very nice. Kids screaming outside late into the night. A/C was nice and cold.

The room was very dirty. It stunk badly. Seemed as though they never cleaned it and only hoped that the sheets were changed and washed. Probably not. Will never stay at a motel 6 again. Guess I'm gonna have to spend more money for a nicer hotel.
Just because it's an inexpensive hotel doesn't mean they should through quailiy out the door.

Not only was the first room we stayed in without a.c., it was also right in front of people getting high. Had it not been so late, we would not have stayed. We were moved into a second room with a.c. The shower was so dirty we skipped it all together. There was very little washer pressure. My boyfriend, who is a cop stayed up most of the night. We had our dog with us and was on his patrol command.
There are obviously people living there full time. We saw the bathing in the pool. The worst thing we experienced was when a little girl, probably around four, knocked on our door in the morning asking us for money for a night's stay. There was an adult with her. It seemed like she was pimping out the child for soliciting money.
I tried to call headquarters for motel 6. I was quite sure they had no idea that their tag branding would be associated with this hotel. I was referred back to the franchise owner who has not been available. Corporate just continued to refer me to the owner. I have stayed in nice, clean motel 6's before, but never one like this. We awoke to ladies arguing and throwing the f word around like it was normal conversation. I would certainly recommend a corporate visit to this rat trap. I'm sure they will want to stay in another hotel, perhaps on hospitality drive in Florence. We slept in our clothes and again didn't get a shower because of the filth. Good point of the visit, clerk did take time out of chatting with her friends to give us another room.

Front desk staff very friendly. Rooms were little run down but comfortable beds.when we arrived we were never told there was No television it had been out a few days. Which was fine only because it was late. But would of been nice to have weather report in the morning.

So here is the issue that some of the reviews are avoiding When you reserve a motel room you are not expecting to spend the night in a community which appears to be full time residence in subsidized housing. This can be a unpleasant surprise to some and just a unexpected surprise to others.

Personally, I find it interesting to see people sitting outside their rooms and groups socializing in the parking lots - barbecuing in parking spaces and having a good time. Quite a few folks appear to live here and I assume they respect and protect their community. Others may be a bit put-off by this unexpected environment.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and guided me towards taking a room towards the front of the property- away from the bulk of the group.

For a one-night stay, I found it to an affordable, clean, acceptable room. It was a bit run down and in need of touch-up. But, I expected that for the price. However, the train blasting through in the middle of the night was a bit of an unpleasant surprise.

If I am ever in the area again, I would stay somewhere else a bit more traditional.

On our way south. It's really late and we are exhausted. We are traveling with dogs so we needed a pet friendly place to stop. Normally we make it to Pooler, Georgia to a Motel 6 there but tonight was rough. So we get to the hotel. It looks like you are as likely to get drugs there as a night's rest. But, whatever, tired, remember? We get our room, a double queen, nonsmoking. Get in the room and it is hot. I get they don't run ac in an empty room so I turn it on. But, what setting is cold? I have no idea because the two knobs haven't had writing around them in half a century it seems. I go back to the desk for help, we get a different room. Second room is hot, that's expected. It has a digital AC unit. So, I turn it on and quickly find out that it won't go below 76 degrees and the fan blows like an asthmatic in a forest fire. Back to the desk and a new room. Third time is a charm. AC blows cold. The beds were comfortable within reason. The bathroom was clean. The floor, even though we were on the first level, was spongy throughout the room.

I doubt we'll be back.
