Great value amd friendly staff. The general managers name is john and he goes out of his way to give guests the best value possible. Highly recommended.
Dirty tub. Short curly hairs all over the bathroom floor. Grime on towel shelf. Sink did not drain. Requested non-smoking room, and non-smoking icon was on room door, but the room stank. Even the air blowing out of heating unit stank of stale smoke. Debris on room floor, and even on desk chair. But the front desk staff was friendly, welcoming, and quick. Keep them and re-train your housekeeping staff.
Garbage not attended to outside. Heavy smell of ganja in hallway. Security lock on outside door son functional, door was wide open. It looked like a Welfare hotel. Two cars in parking lot with smashed in passenger windows covered by blanket or plastic bag.I was bitten by some unidentified insects while sleeping. Spider, bedbugI don't know. It didn't give me a good feeling.
Staff was friendly.
Staff are indifferent to guests and play loud music and offensive content in the lobby. Extremely unprofessional and entirely unacceptable. To make matters worse seeking help from staff is like searching for the holy grail - an effort in futility. Furthermore the room was made to look clean, but it was absolutely not clean. How can a business lack basic integrity? If you want an experience that lacks hospitality, cleanliness, and courtesy look no further. Do not come here. Stay away!
Edit: and I can't believe I forgot to say, the whole place smells like an ashtray. A dog could defecate in the lobby and improve the smell of the place in doing so.
there was a burn mark in one of the blankets. we were in a non-smoking room but it was obvious that someone had been smoking. the blankets on the bed were paper thin. I was scared to walk around the room with no shoes on. we didn't even take a chance on showering cause it was so nasty. we didn't stay the entire time we were scheduled to because the room was unacceptable.
The staff didn't seem like they were in any hurry to get my room available even when I came in and mentioned I had driven 16 hours straight. I was exhausted and needed to relax before an event I was attending. There weren't enough towels in the room, I didn't expect that the room was so much less than basic. I expected the minimum comforts like a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer even coffee but NONE were in the room. There seemed to be many homeless and/or unsavory people hanging around at all hours. The hallway smelled like marijuana and stale smoke. It was unsettling for a woman traveling alone. The room wasn't cleaned and I requested extra towels that were not delivered while I was out. The dirty towels I left by the door were still there and the garbage was still full. I did talk to the front desk clerk about this later at night when I got in and the security guard brought me fresh towels. He was fantastic, very personable and good humored which I appreciated especially under the circumstances. The next morning, the manager was very kind as well. I am wondering if there were bugs in my bed as I have many tiny bug bites and I wasn't exposed to much in the way of bugs while I was at the events.
The location of Motel 6 is conveniently located around a number of good shopping areas & restaurants. The rooms spacious & clean. Motel 6 workers provide quality home keeping and maintenance services. The rates are affordable
I have some good & bad things to say about this motel.
1. Ashley the front desk clerk is absolutely amazing. Her smile, her attitude and the way she's talks to people is so lovely. She was very helpful. As long as she works here I will always come back.
2. Janyce she's nice and friendly . She's very bubbly I liked that about her.
3. Chasity is so rude. Her customer service skills aren't the best. She needs a good talking to about her attitude. She has no right to act the way she does toward people. She takes her time standing up and coming to see what you want. I wasn't too pleased with her and how she handled people. I guess everywhere you go there's one bad apple in the bunch.
4. The head housekeeper and the other housekeepers ARE LOUD. Like ridiculously loud. They're loud in the lobby, the hallways and the blast music. I don't see how this is acceptable. I stayed at the motel for a week and my room wasn't cleaned at all. I was told that all I get was towels. I was very displeased with this.
I also seen a few other things that I didn't understand like an African American lady asked was the motel hiring for housekeeping and she was told if she wasn't Hispanic to not even bother with applying . Or like one of the guy housekeepers was always there until late at night. And I mean like 9:30pm at night. I seen regular guest like myself in and out of their laundry room and one day walking past the door he was in there helping folding laundry. But other than that it was a nice quiet stay . And I really appreciated Ashley and Janyce.
The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable. The room had no bad smells. The wifi I paid extra for was fast and I got my money's worth. The washer and dryer worked well. The coffee was hot and fresh. I didn't give a five star because the sheets on one bed were stained and the door was difficult to open. Also the hallway stank of tobacco smoke.
The room was clean, albeit a bit spare. The desk staff were friendly and helpful.
I did not like having to buy a pin to connect to WiFi and only being able to use it on one device, and that I needed to request fresh towels and the bed be made
Not even before arriving received a voicemail that reserved room with micro-fridge was not available. I agreed to this downgrade anyway.
We arrived to the motel about 1 hour after the check in time but my room was not ready. At front desk it was requested a non-smoking room. Front desk staff had someone double check my room to make sure it was ready.
Things started to go downhill as soon as we opened the room. It reeked of smoke. Found cigarette ashes in one bed. The bed sheets of another bed had cigarette burn marks. At that point our attempts to find other accommodations in other hotels went unsuccessful. I chose not to waste time with front desk staff as my early interaction proved they were incompetent. Did not want a bad situation going to worst. With regards to early mentioned cigarette odor tried to make it away by turning air conditioner. Found sings of previous wildlife. A cockroach carcass was found on the AC control panel. A few live cockroaches were roaming the bathroom and bathtub. We made the most of our visit by spending the least of time in that room. On one of our return trips found that the beds were not made as advertised in one of the leaflets. Needles to say this will be the last time we patronize Motel 6 at Rochester Airport.
I stayed here for 2 weeks working. Room service is none if you have dogs, I had to ask for my towels. Got bit by a spider, or a bug week into my stay, hallways smell of weed, and cigarette smell. Lady on graveyard shift is awesome during the day front desk are not very nice. Manager was helpful. Seemed to be doing everyone"s job. Main problem here is lack of sleep, people, including maids are not quiet, that seems to be the problem with not having my own entrance. Had several nights I didn't get sleep. Everything seemed to work properly, and my room seemed to be clean when I first checked in. Pricing was average for a non event night. Beds were not very comfortable. I won't be back to this town again. But, this motel is about as well managed as most motel 6 across the U.S.
The room was clean. And the heat worked got the room nice and toasty. The bed was very comfortable. I am overall happy with the service.
This is probably the most honest review of Motel 6 you'll ever read. I spent 4 months there, while waiting for my apartment to be ready,
The main problem at Morel 6 are the patrons. There were times when I couldn't sleep or relax because of the noise, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Some of the guests were very rowdy, even shady. There was often a smell of marijuana that sometimes crept into my room.
Noise is an issue, because there doesn't seem to be much soundproofing. The doors slam very loud and there's a lot of banging. The hardwood floors do not insulate noise at all.
It's a basic motel, but you get what you pay for - a room and a bed. There are shops and places to eat nearby, although I don't recommend walking around in that area at night (I got approached a couple of times).
The WiFi isn't free, but it works. You can only use it with one device at a time, but as I was staying alone, it wasn't an issue for me.
The staff at the motel were always pleasant to deal with and helpful. It's just a shame that there seemed to be a high turnover of staff. I've read a few reviews claiming that the staff were rude, but in 4 months of staying there, I didn't experience any rudeness. I did witness guests being rude to them.
I wpkld say that if you just want a bed for a night or two, it's not too bad. I would recommend bringing noise cancelling headphones or earplug if noise bothers you. Bring your own shampoo and toothpaste, because these are not provided. I would also urge caution if you plan on staying from Friday through Sunday as a lot of people stay at that Motel 6 to party and some of them are shady. But during the week, the motel was pretty quiet.
Anyway, I'd like to thank the staff for making my stay easier.
