Would NOT trust this place. I dropped off a rental truck here and they stole my deposit

The staff here is so friendly and have great integrity. They are very honest and expediant. I thought I needed 2 tires and they took time to fix a leak and show me why I didn't need to spend the money on tires. Saved me a bunch of money. Best place in Coffee co. I won't go anywhere else.

So friendly and honest. Went in and told them we thought we were needing two new tires and instead of having me waste money, they told me it wasn't necessary and made a simple repair to my tire!

My wife and I have always bought our tires and oil changes there. We will not anymore!
My wife took my car for a tire rotation and oil change last week and Mike told her that I needed rear brake pads and rotors. Mike said that it is almost metal on metal. Keep in mind that I am no mechanic bur I also did not just fall off the turnip truck either. Backstory: I drive my car maybe twice a week to town and back because I work from home. I also took my car to the dealer about a month ago foe a safety inspection and no mention of brake issues at that time. In addition to this no noise, pulsing grinding squealung. So I took it down the road to North Jackson St. Tire. They looked at my car and advised me that I do not need a break job. Said I have about 1/2 the pad material remaining and my rotors are within tolerance. Do not go to Mike he is a dishones thief. In addition if I would have had the work done and found out later that it was unneeded, I would be suing him under the Mechanic's law. Head everyone's warning and stay clear of this place.

Car broke down in front of the shop. I thought, "What a great place to break down in front of. Walked in and asked Mike if they could look at it. I don't have a lot of money and I drive an older car. He walks out and laughs and tells me I ought to "shoot it" as he laughed with glee. I mean, I didn't think it was very funny. I'm trying to get to work and this guy is laughing at me and my car. So the very first thing he says, "It's probably the timing belt." How he knew this by not even looking under the hood is amazing. I informed him that the car had a new timing belt on it. So his guys look at it and within 10 minutes they figure out that it's probably the distributor. "So what do you think this will run me?" I asked. Mike tells me, "Around 300 if that's what it is." I am waiting on a coworker to pick me up and give me a lift to work and tell Mike to please give me a call and let me know what's going on. 2 hours later Mike calls me and says he's has good news. It was in fact the distributor and it was only 1 hour of labor and the bill is only $525.00! WTF?! He never called to tell me what was wrong with my car or how much it would be, he just went right ahead and did the work. So I waited to pick the car up until Saturday morning when there were several customers inside waiting to get their tires and what not changed. I went in and his wife was working and I told her who I was. She told me the bill and I asked her why it was 200 dollars more than what Mike had originally said so that all the other customers could hear what they had done. She called him and let me talk on the phone with Mike because I guess he was at home counting all the cash he ripped people off from all week. He told me that he originally had said 3 to 4 hundred dollars and that I needed a "special" distributor on my car and that's why it was so much. I informed him that O'Reillys had the same part for a 160.00 dollars and his reply was, "I'm not giving you the parts for what I pay for them." I asked him to please give me a break that I didn't have a lot of money. He said he could not do that. I hung up and I guess his wife was embarrassed to have her other customers hear that and she cut me a hundred bucks off. I thanked her and hope I never have to deal with Mike again. My suggestion is to go somewhere else and don't get ripped off.

Good service but can be a bit more expensive compared to the competition.

I took my 96 Grand Marquis in to have the suspension checked out. They said the upper ball joints were bad. I said ok how much to fix it. The quote came back at $585!!! I took the car home and ordered the ball joints. $20 each and installed myself. Took abou 40 minutes for me to replace both of them, and I am not a master mechanic by any means. I took the car to get an alignment done and the tie rod ends were bad. So not only did Mike's try and rip me off they didn't even do the job I asked them to completely which was to check out the steering on the car and figure out anything that was wrong with it. They tried to tell my wife that the quote was so high because of the part they use. The were going to use Moog ball joints which is what I ah e Always used, and what I put on the car for $20 each. I would not suggest anyone use Mike's.

They just want to take your money they charged me $1,000 for a simple brake job that turned into new hoses, calipers and rotors. I wouldn't doubt my car needed the calipers and hoses considering its an older vehicle but since I got it back one of my brake calipers has been sticking my sway bar was broke and the day I got it back my speedometer went out which led to me needing a whole new cluster. I find it suspicious that I'm not the only one who said their car had something break on it the day they got it back. I also heard them over charging a elderly lady for a set of tires and then bragging about it. I won't be doing business with them anymore. And I'm sure they are laughing at my post but if you want good business you must provide good quality service.

I have absolutely enjoyed my experience with Mikes Tire, Brake & Muffler Inc. I was in dire need of a complete set of tires for my Outback. I called on the phone and they were able to have them ordered and installed the next day. Their prices on my tires was absolutely amazing!

They have also repaired a tire which I bought from them with no extra charge. Mike's Tire has got my business as long as I live in TN.
