Very clean and the staff is outstanding. Everyone goes out of there way to make sure you are comfortable with your room.

During my wedding in October 2017, I suggested some of my friends to stay there. A good friend of mind asked the hotel for a refund after checked in. The room was not kept well. The receptionist was rude over phone and in person. I was going to rent a few rooms for our guests that night but we booked it somewhere else. It’s very sad to see this place like this. It’s very close to my house but I would not recommend any of our family and friends to stay there when they come in town. I hope the management resolve the issue soon because we would love to use your service. Thank you.

The price is great. Staff friendly. Missed having coffeemaker in room. Chain had been busted off the door and not repaired. Breakfast could have been better.

Lived here for a month and a half while looking at houses. Staff was nice, breakfast was good enough. It's really small but it's called the microtel for a reason. Quiet unless the arena football team is there then not so much

smells like a water logged meth house that has had a heard of dog piss on the floor. my bedding was stained with "love marks" by far the grossest hotel ive stayed at. id love to post pictures of my nasty bedding, pre dirtied towels and toilet that looks as if someone had their period in and was never cleaned

Very nice and clean. The lady at the desk was very personable and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back our next trip up here.

Very inexpensive, clearly well cleaned. Very comfortable bed, quiet hotel.
Rooms are beginning to age, but never felt "gross".

Comfortable bed, air conditioner. Stayed in 103. Poor condition. Musty odor. Breakfast stale, not hot. Found big roach in the bathroom.

I only clicked one star because I had to. I stay in hotels almost every week and this is the worst. I made a reservation 4 days before my arrival. Went to check in and they didn't have a clean room available (5:00 pm). Stayed for a week and managed to half clean my room one of the days. Had to ask them to clean my room and still didn't get cleaned. Killed a friendly cockroach in the restroom. Their 5 star Continental breakfast served sour milk, the rest of the days we were lucky enough to run out of milk all together. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Not a good Microtel due to not being clean. It's my 1st priority. Didn't complain to staff, just not staying at this one again. Found one of those centipede looking worms in our room, luckily after I slept and not before.

Staff was ok, continental breakfast was terrible but is what is it is. Price was a little high at $89 plus tax for the night. I thought it was $54 but weekend prices vary, I get it.

Outside was fine except side door on bottom first floor does not lock at night like it should. Seemed like a safe area at least.

Beds were ok at best. Again, just not a clean place. Needs updating at some extra work on cleaning. Heat worked fine on a good cold night at least.

The only thing I was looking really forward to was the continental breakfast and that is NOT what they had! Some old bagels, cereal and toast. Then when I asked if there were things like eggs bacon or a waffle maker the front desk guy didnt say anything just shook his head no. There was no ice maching, no desk or chairs or anywhere to sit in the room which was about the size of a walk in closet. Even the pac man game by the vending machines was out of order. The wifi was the only good thing, which im using to write this review with haha. Wont stay here again!

The rooms are adequate and the breakfast was decent. They seem to have maintenance issues as my tub drain was disconnected, the ice machine was out of service, and the vending machine was not accepting credit cards. They do not keep enough cash on hand to make change, and they don't offer any complimentary water to compensate. Probably just a bad night for them, but the staff's apathetic approach was not helping matters.

Room was fine. Water pressure in the shower was non existent. Could have taken a shower in the sink more easily

Currently a guest at the microtel in Marion Iowa. Beyond disappointed in the staffing and the quality of the rooms. After driving for 13 hours we just wanted a decent room to crash in for the weekend. In less than 24 hours weve changed rooms 3 times. The first room we were in was filthy, the AC was left on and it was 58 degrees when we came in. So like any normal person would do, I put the heat on. Not even a second later the smoke alarm starts going off in our room and it smells like a dead animal is being burned. I go down to complain, the front desk wasn't even around so I picked up the phone to alert them and she comes in cranky as ever. I explain what happened then she proceeds to look at me like I'm whining and my concerns mean nothing, they make us move from our top floor room, to bottom floor room. Where we slept on a rock hard bed with ungodly pillows that made a good night's sleep seem impossible. The shower barely worked and there was water leaking under the sink. I spoke to a man, I believe it was Bryan but I'm not 100% on that and he was awesome. Upgraded our room and was very apologetic and kind to us about the situation. Great right? We get to our third new room, second floor, and the whole floor reeks of cigarette smoke. This was at 11am. Still reeks. Well, we went out to do our business in town and come back to find that everyone of the workers are outside. The phones ringing off the hook. And they're just laughing and giving people dirty looks. Our tub is on and filling with water, which..we haven't touched the tub What the heck? I certainly won't be returning to this branch of hotels ever again. If it wasn't for that one front desk man (Bryan?) I'd of left a long time ago.
On a scale of one to five:
    Housekeeping 2
    Maintenance 3
Staff courtesy 1 (except for Bryan who was a 5! Very professional)
Room size - small but for the low prices, it's not to bad. I'd say 3/4

For someone without kids and who just needs a quick place to crash this may be for you. But if you expect professionalism and cleanliness to any extent, spend an extra 10$ and go somewhere a little more friendly
