First time staying at at Microtel In, we were surprised at how nice it was. The room was nice. Along with the bed, we had a mini fridge and a sofa. Clean and comfortable. They have an exercise room and a pool. I did not get to use the pool. We would stay here again.

Inexpensive, clean and comfortable room. Pleasent check-in staff. Good coffee and bagels etc in the morning.

Very nice and clean. Breakfast choices were limited but enough to hold you until you can get some real breakfast. There was always coffee whenever I wanted it. Overall, not a bad place to stay. No views but hey, it was Beckley, WV.

Rooms are very nice. Very clean and kept up.
Breakfast isnt much but gets the job done. Cereal, bagels and waffles. Staff are friendly.
The main issue I had was they don't take cash. Makes me uncomfortable to use card bc I have been screwed in the past. Stayed a few days one week and was charged $59/night. Next week was 79/night. The first week card was charged right and the one night hold was refunded. Second week we checked out on Friday and my acct showed the 79/nigt for four days which totaled to 316. On Sunday my acct was overdrawn bc they charged me for another 316. Called hotel and didn't speak with manager until 10pm the next night after being told multiple times he would call. He assured me the extra 316 would be refunded but no further explanation. The next day the lady at front desk contacted him about how long it would take to get my money back and he replied with 10-12 days!!! In the meantime I have 3 overdraft fees of 35 each bc of bills coming out and no money to cover them because I was double charged. The lady tried over and over for him to do something to make this right like give me one free night at $59. He replied within he couldn't bc it would hurt his points! He continuously told her this was normal and how it's done and she told him he knew he was wrong.
After about an hour he decides to give me a room for one night for 50cents.
This is absolutely ridiculous and poor poor customer service. The rest of the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. As far as the manager goes big thumbs 👇response / report this review -

This place was very welcoming and such nice people in our time of need. We had our truck break down and our company only put us in a room for one night but the Hotel let us stay in the lobby all day until the company got us another room finally! I'm so thankful for the staff who tried to help as much as possible! This place was great as for the company we work for I have nothing good to say about them!

Our room was clean and reasonably priced. There is a nice, very warm indoor pool. A nice fitness center and the staff was friendly. We would definitely stay again.

The stay was really enjoyable, we got to there at midnight and they were able to get us our keys within seconds. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was enjoyable. Really liked the carrot cake muffins, though the coffee wasn't that great and the orange juice had run out, but it seemed as though only one guy was manning everything, so he was doing his best. Definitely a good one night cheaper stay

Very surprised by the price of the room. We got a queen suite on a Friday night and we paid $100 with tax. Upon walking in the hotel we immediately said how clean the hotel looked. Our room was very spacious and clean. Make sure you pull your door shut. They aren't weighted and over half the doors we walked by weren't fully closed. Bed was comfortable. Lots of channels on the TV. Pool was perfect temp and open 24/7. Free breakfast in the morning with waffles and cold items. Will definitely stay again

Totally underrated! The place smelled clean as soon as we walked through the door. 👍 The desk clerk was extremely polite and welcoming. Room and beds were very comfortable. Highly recommended "2" star hotel. Very pleased with our stay.

Very comfortable room, although a bit on the small size. Very good value for a one night stay. Amiable staff, adequate breakfast, very clean room. We would stay there again.

This is a clean and comfortable place to sleep. Staff was amazing and helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with waffle machine and cereal and hard boiled eggsYogurt and bagels/toast. Very nice addition. The rooms do need lampsJust have overhead lights. The pool needs work. Thanks for your hospitality!
