Room was clean but the place was run down. Locks on doors didn't want to open, chain broken off wall. Just needs updating

DISGUSTING!! We got a king, smoking room and it STUNK and it was filthy. The only good thing was, it didn't have bedbugs. This room was about $70. If we were NOT so exhausted? I would have DEMANDED my money back and go somewhere else. A smoking room doesn't need to be this HORRIBLE. If housekeeping makes $1.00/hr, they are over paid.

Needs updated and a very good cleaning as with most hotel/motels in the USA they are foreign owned and operated and only in it to get your money not spend it.

I gave them a one star because it was the lowest I could rate them . FIRST off the no smoking hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. SECOND Our first room was infested with stink bugs. They were on the ceiling, telephone, curtains and bed. Staff very friendly said they are only stink bugs what you want to do move to another room our response was yes. THIRD Our second room the air conditioner would not stay turn on . The clerk said he thought they all would not run right the first room the ac was great so that was not so. This room was infested with the stink bugs also. My husband requested our money back so we moved from room to room and wasted around 4 hours trying to get some rest after a long trip. We went to the Super 8 in another town it was very clean with very helpful clerks and we will not be staying in Super 8 in Berkeley, WV ever again. We was very disappointed and dissatisfied with this motel. Don't waste your time staying in Super 8 in Berkeley, WV go on to Summersville, WV the Super 8 there is nice and clean. The clerks are always friendly and very helpful. This is where we will be staying for now own. Thank you.

Room was cheap, and that's about the best part. Bed was hard and kind of small. Breakfast was rather sad. Coffee was fresh but juice machine wasn't working. Apart from making my own waffle the othwr choices were cereal or a Danish. It was conveniently off of interstate and like I said it was a cheap stay. I've had worse experiences at nicer hotels. Staff was friendly enough.

It was ok.. Our refrigerator didn't work. And it wasn't nasty but could have been cleaner but for the price it was good.

Service was fast especially for the late hour and reasonably priced for our accommodations. They were one of the few hotels in the area that accepted pets. The rooms were clean if a little outdated. But the toiletries provided were salon quality and breakfast was good. Overall, a perfect place to crash for a few hours before continuing on the road.

I am so glad I wasn't there today or my ass would have went to Jail, what hotel allows a employee to talk down to someone, my sister literally called me crying today, she got stranded in Charleston yesterday and a friend of mine who lives in Beckley went and picked her up and he recommended putting her up in super 8 last night till I could have her a ride today, well check out is at 11 am and her ride was going to be a few minutes late, I stay at many hotels due to my work and I told her to ask for a late check-out, he would be getting there twenty minutes later, the lady at the desk down talked her and followed her to her room and treated her so bad that my little sister was literally crying, she doesn't drink or do drugs and she is not use to be treated like this at all. I am reporting this employee to the head incorporation and even another worker there told my sister they were ashamed that she was treated so badly, Super 8, hotels are supposed to be a home away from home, treated with respect and this hotel has enough bad reviews already one would think that you all are slacking and simply don't care.

Location off the freeway was good. Room was a little small, but well furnished. Things were orderly and clean. The fridge had an annoying pump, but turning on the fan for the AC unit masked this. Personnel were professional and polite.
