No issues with domestic traveling.
Problem is with international travelling. Was returning from Barbados and had an hour and forty min. The custom and immigration was packed and the service was slow. Could not make it in time despite having over an hour in hand and missed the connection flight.
They make you go out after going through customs, collect your bags and then go through security again. This is so inefficient and very inconvenient. I wish I could say I would never use this airport again but it's probably not an option when it comes to travelling to Caribbean as DFW doesn't offer direct flights.
Noisy and understaffed. Waited in long line to check in. Got up to the room with family of 4, including 1 handicapped, to find the one key they gave us didn't work. Called local and toll free numbers multiple times listed on key card holder - nobody ever answered either number. Had to go to lobby, wait again - security had to eventually come up and fix the lock (he noted they often don't charge the locks). Asked why nobody answered the phone, said only one person at front desk with long line (duh, we waited in it twice but nobody anywhere can answer a phone). So we're there on late Friday night plus long delays described above and from 8AM and still going when we left at noon Saturday (less than 12 hours from getting in the room) there was constant hammering in nearby room - like busting tile or walls. OK room, but who cares for 45 minutes to get into your room, nobody answers the phone for help, and you can't sleep from all the noise!? Oh yeah, don't flush the toilet if anyone is sleeping in your room and pray the adjacent rooms don't flush - sounds like a 747 taking off outside your windowthese toilets could flush a small child away (ironically, sink and shower water pressure was a trickle)
Everybody knows about it Miami International Airport it's best to call and get you prices get all the rules out the way they changed a lot it got a lot Stricker more security so be prepared
Super busy airport. Lots of expansions. Airport is very clean a lot of security but somehow you feel like your in a maze. Would like to signs in different languages helping travelers find their way around.
The LOUDEST hotel i have ever been in. Doors shutting were like bombs going off. Honestly it would have been quieter to sleep in the airport. The hotel had people doing constuction at 7am in the room next to us. Avoid at all costs
Great hotel. Very convenient for travelers. Comfortable rooms. Excellent staff.
The room was so small it was hard for two people to maneuver around. The carpet in the hallways was dirty and mismatched and the walls were also white dirty. The toilet in the bathroom was so loud when it flushed I was worried something was wrong with it. The water pressure in the shower was SO hard it was painful. It honestly felt like needles on our skin. I had to cover up sensitive body parts to shower. The bed was so unstable in the frame we were hesitant to even toll over. The air conditioning worked well though it sounded like a woodpecker was inside it. Just a very unpleasant stay.
Room was pretty big, and bathroom was awesome! They checked in us earlier and staff was great. Not many amenities, but great location inside the airport.
Its in the airport so its great for over night stays. There is some noise but mostly from people slamming their doors or talking loud and you can't blame the hotel for that.
The lobby has been remodeled and is very nice. The rooms are ok, at least for me.
It isn't meant to be for vacation, its for travelers and its much better than staying off site. Everything you need in a few minutes walk and breakfast is free.
Terrible terrible front desk attendants. If you're not familiar with the hotel or airport definitely don't bother talking to Greter, the check in lady or any of the attendees for that matter. Rude, unhelpful and Downright don't care and it's OBVIOUS. First she can't locate our reservation, then she 'finds' it after showing her the confirmation. Had to ask where our room is and where in the world the elevator was. It gets more worse and more frustrating. We checked in around 9pm. Asked advice for food/drink near by. She sent us to chili's which had closed before we even checked in. Just do yourself a favor, have a drink at Margaritaville and pray you don't need any assistance.
Beyond upset with the pitiful customer service.
This hotel is hard to find and has zero signage. Terminal E door 11you're welcome. 2 thumbs way yyy down. Only good thing is you're literally attached to the airport for easy check in.
Will never ever stay here again. And did i mention the bed encompasses the entire tiny room. If location is all you want, that's literally all you get.
Outdated, smells weird, and mold effecting my allergies. Do yourself a favor. Don't do this to yourself.
Great location of course. Easy & fast check in. Opted for the cheapest Queen bed room. Pretty much what I expected. Quality, clean and functional. No problems with anything. Only gripe is lack of power outlets (especially bedside) . Should be quite standard with the amount of electronics people have these days
Location, location, location
Will I come to this hotel for a holiday in Miami?
The answer is not no but HECK NO! And that is fine because this hotel was not meant to be that, this is an extremely convenient place for the traveler in transit.
Carrying bags and kids and the Mother-in-law in a wheelchair in and out shuttles late at nigth and early in the morning does not appeal to me. And that is why me and my family stayed in this hotel at least 3 times in the last two years; every stay involved arriving late to MIA one day and leaving early the following day.
The fact that the bedrooms are clean and the noise is bearable (for an airport) does not hurt.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HoteIRaven. com Booked a hotel on there and they had the cheapest rates around
Stayed here because our flight arrived at midnight. Hotel is right in the airport, very easy to reach. Nice rooms, nice personnel, good breakfast. Just what we wanted.
Picked up our rental car right there in the airport near the hotel & off.
Saved us a lot of time. Recommended.
I implore you to resist the need for convenience and cost when looking for hotels in the Miami area. Don't do it. If love yourself and your loved ones at all do no do it. The mattresses feel like they are stuffed cardboard. We were not supplied with enough towels and washcloths. I had to go to the front desk to ask why it was taking over an hour to get towels. A security guard finally brought up the towels. I was told housekeeping was gone for the night. Finally, our clean bathroom came with shaved hair debris on the counter, yet they supposedly have a housekeeping staff. I guess one man cannot be expected to monitor safety and room cleanliness.
