Loved it here. The food was superbly delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Helpful staff and live music. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

Very cool like Cali-mex place in West Ashley. Menu very similar to Taco Boy, only better. Good service, tasty queso and salsa, good tacos. Mexican street corn good as well. They have several fruit and pepper infused tequilas worth trying out as well!

It's been three months since I've been here (stopped by during a road trip) and I am still thinking about their queso. It is by far the best queso I've ever had, we ordered a second order before even finishing our first. Also really amazing margarita's 10/10

I LOVE Mex 1! The food is phenomenal and is reasonably priced. Cool laid back atmosphere and good drink options. The Baja Bowls are my favorite.

Alright, right off the get go I'll give it great Calamari and a cool hot sauce bar. Unfortunately after that it was underwhelming. I had a craving for tacos and my boyfriend remembered he'd like this place in the past so we went. The tacos were so, so dry and oddly sweet? I always love those legit tacos with the meat juices dripping out the end, stuffed with the basics. If I had to guess I'd say these were too over thought. Boyfriend got a bowl and similarly found it flavorless and dry. I guess I could see bar area being really great for nightlife but the food during lunch was just a huge disappointment. The server was fine but damn. Taco craving not fulfilled.

Best housemade Margarita in town! And damn fine tacos! My boyfriend and me go to this place like it is going out of style. They have live music some nights and that is enjoyable as well.

We love the freshness of this place, they have the best margaritas and salsas here. They also have a cool vibe!

Good food in a cool restaurant. I'm definitely going back for their drink specials. The work, that goes into making this place run, shows.

Really great food here. Disclaimer: this is NOT a Mexican restaurant. It's their take on Mexican dishes in an American way. Great stuff though.

Always yummy tacos! Especially the pork belly today, that watermelon salsa!!!!! The bartender with the red beard is always on point! We had the strawberry cucumber margaritas today and they were awesome!

The food was good and came out pretty quick. I would recommend the Baja fish tacos but my wife wasn't crazy about the salad. The service was what you'd expect from a taco joint. At 6 on a Saturday the atmosphere was great and kid friendly. Parking was extremely limited and even their own signs telling you where to go contradict themselves. I ended up moving my car after talking to the hostess.
