It is nice. We enjoyed the inn, as well as our time on the island. Our only complaint would be the weather, which they can't control.

Husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. Inn keepers are friendly and breakfast is great. Served hot "overnight" oats with cinnamon, raisins, apples in it. Egg dish, ham or bacon, fruit bowls, all sorts of bread options, and of course OJ and coffee.

Tucked away from the busy main drag, but still close to the action when you choose to leave the afternoon coffee/tea and cookies on the porch and back to main street.

Recommended!! We will be returning for anniversaries!

The location of the inn one block off of the main street is perfect since you can get to everything quickly and still feel like you're tucked in away from the busy main street. The decor is gorgeous. The room is perfectly clean and comfortable. I loved the Metivier.

It's a beautiful place on Market Street. It's right downtown yet it's not busy on the road in front of it. It's really peaceful and they have a great porch for sitting and relaxing. The rooms are cute with their own bathroom. Breakfast is served in the morning and it's delicious. Cookies and fudge are set out at 3 as well.

Best place on the island to stay. Inn keepers are the best!! Porters from ferry lost my luggage. The wonderful inn keeper worked until he found them.

It was clean and in a good location. As a Bed & Breakfast; I expected a better breakfast.much better. The breakfast here totally missed the mark.

Of the half-dozen or so places I've stayed on the island, the Metiver Inn is my favorite for the #1 reason that is quiet. Being on Market Street has the advantage of being less trafficked than Main Street. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is very good with several different hot dishes to choose from. The whole place has a nice feel, with the historical photos of the island. The suites are very nice for having a child in one room and adults in the other, and each sleeping area had their own door to the bathroom. The kitchenette was also great for saving money on meals.

We just checked out, and it was wonderful! The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable with a duvet and soft sheets. This big house was very accommodating with lots of seating inside and outside. The gardens were gorgeous. The staff was amazing and social. The breakfast was fantastic. They served cookies and fudge at 3. It was the perfect spot on the island. One block from downtown, yet quiet and not as many people.
