This is a basic old fashioned cafeteria. You are going to find plenty of comfort food and old fashioned favorites. Pie of every traditional old fashioned favorites, and vegetable jello. The ribs are very good. The stuffed chicken was dry. The cold slaw was good.

Oh my goodness, what a great place! I'm staying at a nearby hotel and a friend and I decided to try Mehlman's. Great choice! Everything is served cafeteria style with lots of choices.
The food is inexpensive, quantity is good and everything is very tasty. I had a cabbage roll ($3.40), delicious homemade noodles ($1.50), green beans, a roll ($.39), coffee ($1.69), and a piece of really good peanut butter pie ($1.95). My total: $9.58. I'll be back to this place!

Wonderful home style cafeteria food. Get the hot roast beef sandwich with gravy. Everyhing great except broccoli casserole and beets which are never good. Pies are terrific, I prefer them to the cakes. Reasonably priced. Closed mondays. Can be busy. Lots of seniors (who know good food) and workers are kind enough to carry trays for people having difficulty which also includes mothers of young children. I have been stopping by for years. If you like chicken livers, Sunday is your day. Just don't eat them all when I stop by to get my double order on my way back home!

Plentiful in choices. Fulfilling. Affordable. Hands down one of the best home cooked restaurants in the valley. I would recommend to anyone passing through or living in the area.

Excellent. I've had the basted fish, steamed veggies, custard (like I remember my mother's), husband loves the prime rib and ribs. Absolute comfort food.

Grew up eating here with grandparents, and rest of our large family. Food is amazing especially the fish. A lot of food to choose from. A great family atmosphere. The waiters/waitresses are extremely nice. One guy does dog impressions for kids. Easy to get to from 40 or interstate.

The food was delicious and the ambiance was warm and inviting. The owner Jay, stop by our table and told us a little bit about the history of the establishments. Just a wonderful experience all around! Definitely on my list of favorites!
