Went Halloween weekend for our first visit. Once we arrived everyone we encountered, whether staff, seasonal or “regular” camper was friendly. Grounds very well kept and public areas very clean. Can’t wait to go back when the weather is warm and more exercise the clothing optional clause! Only down sides were out of managements control. The drive up is a bit intimidating and the weather was less than ideal but it was late October.
Roseland Resort offers a variety of accommodations, from tent camping, trailer lots, minimalist cabins, deluxe cabins, and B&B guestrooms. During the summer, the outdoor pool is open with a snack bar service. The food at the Walnut Cafe is exceptional! And there are other amenities, including the showers, sauna, hot tubs, rec hall and more!
Second time here. Usually stay for a few weeks. Have a 18' travel trailer that I tow here. All the staff go out of there way to make sure your stay is great. The place is always neat and tidy, bathrooms are spotless, showers, hot tub, steam rooms too. The views are great year round, was here in the summer now in the fall. Plenty to do, trails for hiking, biking or exploring. The pool area has plenty of chairs and loungers to relax, pool is still open and it's mid October. The place has something to offer to everyone. Truly a unique experience.
My partner and I came to Roseland to celebrate our 12 year anniversary! We are from Tennessee and wanted to try Roseland out! This place is by far the best Gay campground & resort around! We loved seeing the wild life and walking the trails. The staff and grounds were AMAZING! This place is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth the 8 hour drive from Tennessee. We loved the jacuzzis with views and seeing the peacocks wonder around! The pool was also great! Everything was very clean also. On our last day there we schedule massages; and I must say it was the best massage we have ever had! We rarely write reviews, but I wanted to be sure to write a good one for Roseland. We will definitely be back this summer. From the Tennessee Boys ;)
Good place for a weekend getaway. The guys that own it make you feel like family. You can go nude or have cloths on. However I think it would be a good idea to have more activities like a meet and greet time for people to get to know each other. Most I would say 99.9% of the staff was great the only nasty one was a young man that worked in the kitchen of the restaurant not friendly at all. The cabin was great it had a hot shower outside on the porch and it produced a lot of hot water so we didn't run us. The cabin was very clean with white bedding and towels. It would be nice if they had tables and chairs somewhere outside of the bar area so people could sit and talk. The food was very good. Drinks were prices good about $3.50 and I love the idea you can give them your credit card and then just charge the whole time you are there.
Pleasantly surprised by this gem in the mountains. Super friendly staff and very clean facilities. We got rained out the first day and as tent campers were worried about what to do. With an amazing restaurant didn't need to worry about cooking and plenty of covered areas to relax and wait out the rain. Clearly a lot of thought and love put into this place.
It's a beautiful, friendly well-run resort. I am an avid hiker and the trails are spectacular and you can definitely get a good workout that can be rewarded halfway by a swim at the swimming hole in the stream. Guests are nice, mostly masculine men.
Owners and staff are down to earth and friendly. I can't say enough good things about them. I had a medical problem once and they were really supportive and helpful.
The views across the valleys are gorgeous. The clothing optional pool is fun and frisky. The food is good. This place is a hidden gem. It's worth the trip.
The campground is absolutely beautiful! So far my favorite!
Though the setting is somewhat nice, I'm aggravated at the fact that there is not a gay campground that is about CAMPING! NOT SEX! I'm thinking I need to open one myself. A place where people can make friends, have a good time camping, and not be so worried about stuff being shoved in their face.
Beautiful campground, well maintained, great facilities, terrific owners, friendly and courteous staff, good food including the best pizzas we have ever had. Wish it was closer to home so we could go there more often. We have enjoyed every one of our many stays there.
Roseland Resort is a wonderful place! The views of the mountains are beautiful. The place is kept very clean and the staff are awesome. My husband and I loved it so much that we went twice within a month we have become seasonal property owners. Looking forward to many great times with the new friends that we have made.
Definitely more resort than campground! Stayed in a junior cabin (with air) clean amenities !! The staff was all pretty wonderful. Great trails. All the guests were friendly and the seasonal people were very inviting. Brought my dog along and she enjoyed it too. We ate at the restaurant one evening and really enjoyed the food. 31/2 hour drive from Cleveland but well worth it. My friend and i both got a massage and loved it. You can rough it in a tent and enjoy the seclusion or sleep in a nice cabin. Good options. Thanks guys! We will be back!!
