Had a great time both before and after the Bruins game (bummer we lost)
The staff were rude and the food was thrown at us.
We were over from Ireland 7 of us in a round of drinks and food and couldn't of been treated more rudely. One member of staff continued to be rude and imitate our Irish accent to our faces. This was a huge dissapointment as we are from Clare looking forward to seeing a legacy of a Clare man's pub. Before we paid anything towards drinks we were warned to paid tips by staff or we would not be served again. We have travelled to the United States several times and understand the culture. In all our travelling this has been the worst experience. The city of Boston was beautiful and welcoming bar this incidence.
Before Celtics game, burger good. Spring rolls greasy, overdone and bread bowl could have been scooped out for more chowder. Music loud, my young kids thought it was great that the lyrics in music oncluded the "f" word as well as many others. Must be an employee's play list or xm. Service was good.
Great beer selection and the food never disappoints. One of the best places to go before a Bruins/Celtics game at TD Garden if you go around an hour before game time. Seating is a little cramped though
I had steak tips that were excellent. The fries were outstanding. Good beer selection. Clean. Friendly staff. Very close to the Boston Garden.
This place is a really nasty dump. If this were in Ireland it would have closed down long ago. They charge at the door for any sort of event, again, unheard of in Ireland so I don't understand the 'Irish pub' slapped on. The greasy cheap pinewood furniture that hasn't been cleaned in forever and the dirty beer glasses. Shudder. With so many great bars in Boston there's no reason to consider this backwater next to the train station in a questionable area at night
Great food, great music, great bar service. Would recommend.
Great food, atmosphere and drinks before the Celtics games
Friendly bartenders, patrons, food looks good & i met 1 of the firemen that put out my house in 1998! Ask for the pineapple soaked in vodka! Yum! 😋
I enjoy this place for killing time waiting on commuter trains. Friendly staff, plenty of screens, live music, and the "rough night starter/ender pack" machine in the bathroom is easily one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Oh! Great chicken fingers as well if you're into that sorta thing.
Love the cider they have on draft and good choice of beers. The food is decent pub food and I enjoy the live music on weekends. There is also a fireplace in one of the smaller dining rooms if you want to be away from the bar area. In the nice weather they have a patio across from the foxboro fire station.
McGanns is an Irish bar with a sports focus. The home of the Manchester United Supporters of Boston. Great staff and very reasonably priced pub food. A great place to visit for a quick bite and a pint.
Know how to properly pour a Guinness. Wine selection/quality lacking. Friendly staff
Can be crowded
I've found this place to be about 50%-50% for getting a table 90 minutes before a Bruins game, which is better odds than I have found at other bars in the area. Also, decent brews on tap, and I love their Irish Curry sauce.
Great food and service even with a game at the gardens. Best part about it was Miller lite on tap which is hard to find. Bartender Anna was great but frosted glasses would be a improvement. All in all I would go back again.
