I took the family here for christmas lunch and we had a great time. The setting is beautiful, right by the dock and there is loads of outdoor seating. As for the food we all really enjoyed it. I would recommend the seafood. We have a two year old and eating out can sometimes be a challenge, but this is a great place to take kids. The staff were great.
Oh and the deserts are huge, be warned!
Our waiter was friendly. We had a table of 12 people. No one had any complaints. All of the food was fresh and tasted great! The corn bread was also delicious. I ordered their boom boom fish tacos - they were YUM. Their salt scrubs they sell smell heavenly and leave your skin silky smooth. They also sell cool-looking t-shirts. The views from the restaurant are beautiful - it sits right next to the marina. You can eat yummy food and enjoy great scenery. Also, their menu is HUGE - there is something for everyone!
Eating outside, watching huge boats in the marina while listening to a guy play steel drums. What more could you ask for? Good food at a decent price. Would give 5 stars but you have to pay $6.00 parking to eat.
Love this place! Practically everything on the menu is delicious (I know, because I think between me and 7 other guests we tried most of it.) The shrimp cocktail was HUGE and delicious. Their blackened salmon with the mango salsa was also delish, and they substituted my sides for a Cesar salad, so basically I'll love them forever. The Big Sandwich is BIG. And their mac and cheese is some of the best I've ever eaten. The fish tacos could probably serve two people--or send you home with leftovers. Don't over-eat and miss dessert though! If the weather is nice definitely sit outdoors and keep an eye out for pirate ships and manatees!
okay so it's been two years since my husband and I have been to Nellie's and we were looking forward to some great food and great atmosphere as we remembered it two years ago. I ordered the bacon lettuce tomatoes avocado club sandwich my husband ordered the fish and chips and I also had the onion soup. The onion soup was delicious needed a little salt but the sandwich was terrible I felt that something was off because it was just did not have the same feeling like it was two years ago. We could not pay for parking because we pay with everything with a debit card so she informed us to go inside they have at ATM well the ATM was broke. So I told my husband that we would get cash back once we pay for our meal as you can do at some restaurants well guess what they don't do that so the reason I gave it to Stars was because of the sandwich wasn't good the service was okay and I knew something was wrong. So I said to myself let me go look online and find out in a reviews long behold it got sold two years ago so now we know why and we won't be back so my husband said. I will be willing to give it another try I believe in second chances we'll see. But the food just isn't on point. We had to drive to the 7-Eleven to their gas station and take money out to go back and pay the $5 for parking so I think that's why my husband was upset about that. Sorry Nellie's😷😡😖😩😰
Food quality and portion size has gone down dramatically since new owners took over. Used to be one of my favorite restaurants in SW FL, have tried dining there on 3 separate occasions since it was sold in 2015. All 3 times my party and I were really disappointed. We won't be returning for a 4th time. The service has been great, but the food is no longer fresh tasting and the portions are half what they used to be but still the same prices.
Great place for a Fort Myers feel! Walk in and ask for Miguel to serve you. He does a great job and has an awesome personality. Food never disappoints. Stop in for an Ugly drink as well.
Love this place! We always stop here when in Fort Myers beach. Food is great. Menu is extensive!! Big portions as well. We like their own beer that is like $5 for 22oz!!
Friendly staff, the largest menu selection ever seen and generous portions provided - you will not leave hungry. Dine inside or listen to live music as you dine outside by the bridge on the bay side of Fort Myers beach . Dress is casual. Great for lunch, date night or family night out.
With a party of fifteen for a college graduation celebration. Sure we had to wait a while. No problem though. The prior diners were camping. For good reason. This is a fine, we'll managed place. Everyone had a great time. The service was beyond excellent. The food was very good. With a party that large, there will be a few people who ordered something they didn't know what it was so turned it away. The management was extremely gracious and brought them something else. I look forward to going back and enjoying more of their selection. Perhaps a few of those fancy drinks with the colors and swirly straws and alcohol! Thanks Nelly, no need to be nervous. Your people got this!
Deliciously prepared and presented meals and drinks in a very pleasant gulf/boat dock experience on the outside and nicely decorated inside. Definitely recommend this place! I live here and find myself choosing this place on occasion with guests.
Awesome place - tables are right on the dock. Pet friendly too! I enjoyed the crab artichoke dip and my husband said the shrimp basket was perfect. Went on a Tuesday night and listened to very good live music - a guy with a guitar and a harmonica who could play blues, soft rock and ballads. Couples were dancing too. Great, relaxing environment with great food and good music. ☺
This was a must every time in area. This time was charged $5.00 to park, couldn't believe how much smaller portions were. Even looked back in old pictures to make sure. Sat upstairs outside. Still same great view but had to go inside to pay my bill at bar because after taking my plate the waiter/bartender never came back. So with parking, sandwich and a soft drink I paid $23.00 plus tip. Just not the same.
They treated us like royalty. I don't know how they can get fresh Maine lobster. Also an extensive and fabulous menu! We are going to the Fund raising event for Autism today.

A sentimental place with me and my wife. We've gone there for the past two years and have not been disapointed. Located right on the water, the live music and food are sure to please. They feature a huge menu that provides choices for anyone- seafood lover or not. If the weather permits, I suggest sitting outside, but anywhere is great as well. I dare you to finish the Hook, Line, and Sinker meal- lots of food!
