Excellent food, had The Seafood Paella. A nice mix of seafood with a little Mexican spice. Food came out very timely. Can’t wait to try other items. Probably $$$ and above but your not eating fast food. Definitely will come back. Seated immediately and had a good waitress. Started with a couple of berry mojitos. Gave it 4 stars because we were sat in the bar area and couldn’t hear ourselves think. Extremely loud!!!

A definite place you must visit when in Ft Meyers.

Absolutely beautiful and on the water. It was drizzling but they had umbrellas that covered the tables. Great food and the atmosphere was amazing. I went with the family and got right in during season at 530. Much improved from when I went years ago :)

Service- Half Decent
Valet Parking- Hear me out, I had a terrible experience at the Doc Fords parking. I give my keys to the young man as he proceeded to park my car, and I have never had a problem with valet parking. I come out of the restaurant, not fond of what I ate, I step into my car and drove to a nearby bar, when I exited the car, I realized that my car seat was drenched in the young man who parked and got my car after the dinner, and my back was also drenched in another mans sweat!! This place is amazing! Jessica, our waitress, was the best! She gave us so many recommendations and all 4 of us were thrilled with our drinks & food. Such a great atmosphere with a great view! Highly recommend!

For me this is the best of the 3 doc Ford's locations because it has character. Lots of nooks and crannies to sit in upstairs and downstairs and most have a good view if the marina.
The food is good and the beer is cold. Obviously the Yucatan Shrimp is a must do but there are plenty of other good menu items too.response / report this review -

Such a cool place! With great food and service. Sometimes places like this that are mirrored after books, characters or movies fall short in those areas. But this place was great! I got the special for the night. Yellow tail snapper with a buttery cream sauce. So great!

Really one of the best in Fort myers beach. Their specialty Yucatan shrimp was standout. Everyone liked their food, even the person in our group that got the steak. An actually decent draft beer selection, which is somewhat of a novelty in the area. Service was really great. A bit pricey, but worth it. Rum drinks were all met with approval.

Sip on a delicious rum drink while enjoying the marina view. Great calamari, crab cakes and clam chowder. Exactly the Southern Florida lunch we were hungry for. Establishment has been there a long time and showd it's age, but enjoyable nonetheless.

We go here for a meal every time we are in the area. There is a nice view and the place is adorable inside. The grouper bites are awesome. The prices are reasonable and the fish is fresh. It is a good place to go with large parties and children. The salads are very large, I had Mahi-mahi on a salad and could not finish the whole thing - probably because I kept picking on my kid's grouper bites the whole time!

We enjoyed sitting on the dock side for dining near the live music. The food was amazing and the service was good. The only thing we didn't care for was the "seat yourself" policy was a bit unorganized and tense, creating tension between other patrons.
After reading other reviews, I would like to add that our drinks were rarely ever empty and everyone in my party were commenting as to how large the shrimp were. I didn't get a picture of the meal that had the huge shrimp, but everyone was impressed with the quality of their meal.

Let me start with the food is great but service was AWFUL took us forever to get food and drink refills we didn't leave until 545 and got there at 4. Had children with us which made it so much harder waiting a hour for our food. Our servers name was Danielle and even went as far to roll her eyes at me when I asked for another drink. The manager I believe her name was Candace gave us a new server at the very end which was nice but this was literally right before we were checking out and the manager wasn't concerned until we had said something once again than she took our drinks off the bill which we were constantly waiting for anyways. If you have kids this isn't the place to go and the disrespect and attitude from the staff all around is horrible even though the food is good I would never step foot back into this place

Excellent bar and restaurant with wonderful views of marina and fishing boats. Outside and indoor dining, both enjoyable. Wait staff is attentive and pleasant. Food is great, have never had a disappointing meal with pricing being moderate.
As with any popular place in this area, Doc Ford's can get busy, especially during "season" and parking is at a premium some days.
If you like rum and ginger beer, try the Dark and Stormy.response / report this review
