Private room karaoke, this is my favorite of the places I've tried. I like the Sawtelle one best.

Great place to go with friends but beware of food fee. The employees sometimes have an unpleasant attitude (hey they're only human)

Wow! I just had the most RACIST experience in my life here. I've been coming here for years and generally you experience a few things. A private room and a good catalog of music. If that is enough, than knock yourself out.

If you're ok with having the most racist person working there (and yes, some Asians are racist), then I would avoid. I'm a white collar, UCLA educated person who has come for years generally around noon on weekends and have a decent time. What happened today was beyond shocking.

I walk in on a Tuesday night no less (off night) and ask for a room for two. The gentleman behind the counter gives me a form to fill out in broken English. I don't know if he was offended that I asked him to repeat because I wanted to complete the form correctly. They usually just have a sign in sheet (I generally come here or the Little Tokyo spot, and I've had nothing but pleasant experiences there).

So I completed the form and he says "credit card", and I said, they usually take my ID did that change. He proceeds to take the paperwork from in front of me aggressively and says "you don't like get out". I'm like "whoa" what the hell dude? Most people don't ask for credit cards but if you like, just run my card now ahead of time. I just want an hour. He points to a document that says "deposit of ID" and I said, sure I can give you that. But you're asking for my credit card.

He then points me away and point at a sign and says "refuse service to anyone, get out". I ask if I can speak to a manager and he says they are off right now, get out.

My girlfriend walks next to me (she was in the bathroom this whole time and yes, she's Asian). He now acts more nervous and less aggressive.

He grabs some patrons from another room (Asians) and has them come over to me to tell me that they always get credit cards and that it's ok. I'm like dude, "NO, this dude yanks the paper away from me, tells me to get out, we refuse service to you and you want me to give him my credit card????" No way.

He says then you should leave (mind you, this guy looks all sorts of mild bookworm trying to deescalate a situation), and I'm not ok with this. Now the store front guy opens the front door touches me to shoo me out. I'm like screw that, no, I'm not doing anything you say at this point. You're rude, obviously racist so when he approaches me I absolutely look to intimidate him since he's trying to do the same to me. The bookworm gets between us and I ask him what he's trying to do? I told him he doesn't want to do that. He says "are you threatening me?" and I tell him, I'm just telling you not to do anything stupid in this situation, you walked in way late on this and didn't see what he did and how he treated me before that! He said that's fair. So I said, I would just advise you to leave. He did.

Jen (who is Korean) then says "what do you want to do? what can we do? He's obviously a racist FOB."

At this point I'm extremely upset and I have little repercussions other than to say that if you don't want to support a place with racist employees, don't come here. I came here for YEARS and I've never been treated like this guy treated me before in my life. The worse thing is, the devil is in the details. You wouldn't know this was bad unless you experienced it first hand.

I ask one question and he rips the papers from me and said essentially, if you don't like it, get out, we refuse service to people like you. I guarantee if I had a manager there, they would have been able to explain and converse like normal people and not do anything he did. I tried video recording it but as soon as I did, he decided to remove the overt racist actions.

I officially hate a place that I used to bring my son to for mid day singing. This dude has been here for like 4 years, I've been going to this place longer than he has been there and he treated me not rudely but so awfully as a human being that I feel that management needs to seriously talk to this guy and have some kind of repercussion otherwise they are practically supporting this kind of behavior.

Simply what you need. A place to sing your heart out. Love it. If you want a karaoke bar, go elsewhere. If you bring the party, bring it here. Then sing. And sing. And sing.

Solid song collection and they let you bring in outside food ($1 per person charge though). Come 1-8pm for an awesome happy deal of $4 per person. It is a bit of a run down, older space but that doesn't effect how much of a good time it is to sing there.

Pretty extensive library of songs, good and loud stereos. The monitor broke during our session.

The rooms were a little cold but overall it was okay. There weren't any fancy lights or tamborines but they had Pretty new selection of English songs. The man at the front was very friendly and the price was cheap.

Good selection of songs. Rooms are air conditioned which is nice. Signs say no alcohol but I don't think the employees care

Amazing times and flexible service. We had some slight mechanical issues with the remote controls, but they were quickly fixed or replaced. Just a great time, with plenty of space.

Great happy hour deals (no alcohol, but cheap karaoke!) While the system isn't fancy as some KTV places I've gone too, the book system is reliable and pretty updated. They have a majority of the popular English songs and you can even look on the website if you're that dedicated to certain songs. They also have other language books (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.)

The rooms aren't super nice, but comfortable enough to spend 1-2 hours in. The volume can also be a bit loud but is easy to adjust and there has been less feedback here than other places around.

Come before 8 pm to get the Happy Hour deal and you can sing happily for a discount!
