Little pricey, but great beer selection, great atmosphere and the waitress was cool. For first time was really nice experience, will definitely go again if I'm in the neighborhood again.
Warm beer, so so food. Nice atmosphere. Waitress needs to smile and at least pretend to like her job.
We absolutely love this place. I am hesitant to write a review because I don't want even more people to know about my favorite neighborhood bar! They have an incredible beer list that is always being updated (keep in mind they don't serve liquor) and ALL their food is amazing. Shore fries, wings, and burgers are among our faves! You can also bring your dog on the patio and the parking lot is free!
Food here is amazing. Lots of beers on tap. Great place to hangout. Happy hour is okay. Dog friendly place.
Impressive gourmet beer selection. Smart, attentive staff who seem passionate about quality ales. Friendly local vibe. Love it!
Waited 15 minutes to acnkowledged. Clicky . If youre not a regular customer. Expectless than equal service.
Too bad. 👎
Was limited to no red meat tonight. Ordered the Sherman salad and requested customization. No problem. Was excellent!!
I have frequented this place 4-5 times. Each time just for a beer. I have not tried the food, it does not look particularly healthy, nor all that good. And after each of the 4-5 times, I have told myself I am never returning. The beer selection is fine, overpriced, but a nice selection. The reason I am not returning is the service. Today, I was in the neighborhood, Going against my sworn oath that I would never return - I did. Walked in, told the greeter that I just wanted a beer, she suggested I sit at the bar, which I did. Two menus were plopped down in front of me, I found the beer I wanted to order and returned the menu to the counter. Someone behind the bar grabbed both menus, but did not take my order. I sat there for over fifteen minutes, feeling invisible, a twenty dollar bill on the counter, waiting for someone to take my order, it did not happen. I left . As Jehovah as my witness, never again will I visit the Blue Dog Tavern!
My husband and I found this gem our first night living in Los Angeles, and I turned to him and said, "This is my place now!" as soon as I entered. The building is covered floor-to-ceiling in pictures of dogs, and they have an awesome selection of domestic and foreign beers. Their happy hour is great, including affordable beer & snacks to celebrate the end of the work day. I intend to return regularly with friends/visitors! Highly recommend!
Great food. Great service. Price is decent, but the service makes up for that. Has a great vibe to it that is very enjoyable. The food is delicious. They do allow dogs and I've seen them accommodate them on the patio.
The atmosphere is great the food is spot on pub food the beer selections are amazing and very affordable my new hang out!
My dad and I stopped here to eat when visiting California. I would have given a better review, but my dad ended up receiving severe food poisoning from an undercooked burger and was bed ridden for a week. I just ask that you check your meat before consuming it if you insist on eating here.
Right off the 405 and 101, hidden behind the Whole Foods, Blue Dog Beer Tavern is built into what looks like an old house. They offer pretty normal gastropub fair and a decent to good selection of beers. There are wall mounted TVs with standard sports fare. Prices are a bit high, but still within the reasonable range. There's a small lot and plenty of metered street parking.
The food is good but it can get busy. However, I haven't been back since I received unbelievably poor service, left a small tip, along with a note explaining why, and the waitress took it upon herself to ADD to her tip anyway by changing my receipt!! The manager apologized but did not resolve the issue And he never returned the overcharged tip by that awful waitress. It's my neighborhood place and I'd love to go back so if someone tells me that management has changed, I will reconsider.
