I drive a Chevy and was hit in Kokomo. They towed my car here (based on reviews from coworkers) and the staff was and is absolutely phenomenal! Ron Huston was amazing when dealing with me (who knows nothing about cars) and my insurance Adjustor. They even charged my battery and checked my battery life. I would recommend this collision center to anyone! From minor dings to a new rear axle and back door!

I do not own a Buick or GMC, I own a Jeep. Whole down in Indiana from Michigan my Jeep's head gasket needed to be replaced. The jeep only has 73,000 miles on it so Mike in the service department called and was an advocate for me by calling the local Dodge / Jeep dealer to see if they would fix this problem. Jeep / Dodge would not help at all even though the car had under the 100,000 mile warranty (but was over by 3 months). Matthews GMC fixed my car and gave me a GREAT price. Even though I live out of state, they went the extra mile. They know that a are dealer just doesn't sell cars, but is a continuos relationship with the customer long after the car is delivered. If I lived in Indiana and was looking for a car - Matthews Buick GMC would be my first stop.

I've never purchased a car here, but I've used their body shop several times and have never had any complaints. The only thing I could say is that the last time I needed repairs done I had been quoted at 4-5 days, which ended up actually being nine days. That's all fine, really, but a phone call to let me know it would take longer than expected would have been appreciated.

This review is for the body shop, I've never used there service or dealership sides. Fix our car after a hail storm. They got us in as fast as they could and only had it for 4 days. I would recommend them.

My car needed an oil change and I chose Matthews Buick for the service. The staff were professional and helpful. I did not have to wait long and the price was very fair.

The service team at Matthew's Buick has been nothing but exceptional every time I visit. This last visit (for oil change, tire rotation and brake pads and rotors) everyone truly went above and beyond to get everything done that visit and I am very appreciative! I would gladly recommend James Matthews and will definitely be a life long customer.

I'm not wanting anything, nor have I ever submitted a review on any business before, but I think it's important people hear about my interaction with Mike, the Service Manager, and Jeff, the owner of Matthews Buick.
Three Christmases ago Mick Dittmeyer helped me in the purchase of a GMC Terrain as a Christmas gift for my wife. The sale and interaction was fantastic and Mick had created a customer for life. In fact I still receive Christmas cards from Mr. Dittmeyer.
So In April, when my 2008 G6 developed a problem with the brake lights; a well-known and documented issue with this make and model and the subject of a major recall. There was no doubt where I wanted to go for the repairs. So I called and made an appointment to have the recall repairs done at Matthews Buick. They obliged and all was great until less than two months later when the same brake light problem occurred again: When I press the brakes, the lights go off instead of on, so you can imagine the danger of driving this vehicle on the road. When I took the car back to Matthews Buick to report that the problem had returned, I naively expected the service manager of a reputable business to be understanding, or at least slightly concerned that a repair his shop had just made didn't even last 2 months. Instead I was condescended to and lectured about the extraordinary amount of mileage on my car (94000).
It was explained to me that they would look at my car, and if there was anything that needed done, I would have to pay for that repair. I did not agree to pay for the repairs for the following reasons: 1) the issue is a known problem with the model of car, 2) the recall repair should have worked, and 3) they should have at least told me the first time that the part was bad and wouldn't be covered under the recall.
I then spoke to Jeff (the owner) and he said they would look at it and then we could discuss a plan of action. Of course they found a part that was suddenly bad and it was going to cost $300 for the repair. After much arguing, Jeff decided to take care of the bill for me and do the repairs as long as I signed a "no liability" contract to get my car back. That was in June.
Less than a month later, while driving home from Myrtle Beach on the mountains of West Virginia, my brake lights stopped working again. So the repair that they were planning on charging me $300 for was an unneeded and unnecessary charge, since it obviously didn't correct any problem.
I've called four times to speak to Mike to discuss the "repair," but he is mysteriously always in a meeting or on another line. I have also left a voicemail explaining the issue, and yet here I sit three weeks later with nary a response and a hazardous brake light issue.
So now I'm trying to figure out which is worse: the lack of care and concern that they put the safety of my family and the families driving around me in jeopardy by failing to fix the safety issue the first time around, or the dishonesty and lack of integrity they displayed when expecting me to pay $300 for a repair that was neither necessary or successful, or the ineptitude displayed by not being able to correctly diagnose and repair a problem with a car that they are supposedly factory certified to work on.
I can't figure out which is worse I guess you will have to.
