We've been taking our animals there for years! They are the best!!
The staff is personable, and the veterinarian I saw was genuinely interested in the health of my pet.
Really poor customer service. When calling to make an appointment they are very short with you, if you ask any questions they are sarcastic and rude. I had the front desk women argue with me over what shot the vet administered to my dog while I was present, that I was not billed for and was literally just trying to PAY FOR IT. She pulled my dogs file out and read it out loud while highlighting it. Not believing that my dog had received these shots. Then she started arguing with me until the vet told her the shots were administered. On another occasion she made rude comments about a kitten I rescued and was bringing in for a wellness check insinuating I didn't feed the kitten. All in all, rude front desk people. The doctor is okay though I suppose .
They treat us well and you never feel like they are doing anything unnecessarily. Took really good care of my dog gizmo after he was lost for 4 days and had ticks all over!
I love Martinez Animal Hospital! They are amazing with my babies. They're already friendly and very knowledgeable.
I rarely write reviews but I love the staff. They're great at reading dog body language and are great with nervous dogs! My dog got there nervous ( for a nail cut) and left very content. A few years ago we brought Pomeranian here for treatment and again the staff was amazing. Although we ended up having to put our dog down even emotionally they helped us through that painful process. Now I have a mastiff and I'll continue to bring her to this clinic.
This place is great. The staff is very polite and caring. My dog Dio loves to come here, even when he's not feeling well.
They had to put down our dog that we had for 9 years. Not only did they comfort us while we was there, we received a sympathy card in the mail signed by the entire staff a few days later.
Doctor and staff are always understanding and friendly. Always a positive experience.
The best and most caring vet I've experienced here in Augusta. They don't hound you for money or appointments. They take care of your pet and work out everything else later. None of the other vets are like that. I've went to other vets and they gave me bad advice and then to Martinez and they saved my pets. Every single them about them is better.
I scheduled an appointment for this past Friday for my dog to come in for routine shots, as I was filling out the paper work, the front desk attendants we're super rude! The service was quick, only a two minute wait. After my dog got all of her shots, she came back heartworm positive! I was in complete shock and in tears, my dog is four and I've had her since she was three weeks old, so needless to say, I was devastated!! The vet then was like your dog is heartworm positive, this is what heartworms is, here's your treatment plan if you want to do it, then left. I was full of questions and didn't get any of them answered. So, today (Monday) I went and picked up the antibiotics to begin the first step of treatment. I asked the lady at the front desk, is this when we start to limit her activities and take it slow? She gave this dumb founded look and said, it's just antibiotics and went back to doing something else. Again, NO HELP. I would not suggest going to Martinez Animal Hospital , I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Clean place, great staff. Very caring.
