My experience here is sorta hit-and-miss. It is incredibly expensive to go here, but I suppose that's true for all movie theaters. In addition, the floors are often sticky, and there is garbage sometimes left in the seats. The staff are friendly, but I feel they often don't do enough to deal with unruly movie goers. I get incredibly annoyed with the texting, obnoxious people and am THAT person that tattles. Sometimes something is done, sometimes it isn't.
Fast, courteous service. Clean theatre and restrooms. A little too cold for my liking though.
This place is very nice clean, and some of the workers are friendly. But I would like to say I've seen people just enter and not paying for ticket really need to make the workers pay attention there.
All around clean and well maintained. Hosted by a gaggle of eager, and customer service oriented staff. I am impressed with the attention that is given to the moviegoers.
Way to many talkers. Ignorant ,inconsiderate people speaking at crowd volumes even answering their phones in theater . Speaks volumes on how they were raised and what types of people they mainly from the area around the theater.
Beautiful facility and beautiful staff. I showed up to watch a 6:20 pm showing off IT! The sun was blaring in the ticket kiosk and i couldnt see the times on the digital board. The adorable country girl ticketmaster directed my attention to the physical prints of the movie times and descriptions. I had some expensive equipment in my breifcase that i didnt want to leave in the car even though the parking lot is lit up like a xmas tree and feels completely safe. The manager offered to lock my case in a office that he assured me had camera protection. The lobby is big and beautiful. Nothing quant about this place. This is a mega modern movie house. They had a really well done wonderwoman and batman display. From what i could see, their was six or eight arcade games, including claw machines and photo booth. Refreshments were vast and popcorn was killer. even the quarter gumball machine brand was different than i have seen and delicious. Raquetball size jawbreakers can be had for 1$.
The actual viewing room is a thing of beauty. Seating is like baby bears bedjust right. The screen was one of the biggest i have seen next to imax that is. Here is the big one for me. Perfect viewing experience. No problems with projection or sound. Believe me that isnt something to be taken for granted. Bravo projectionist and adorable professional booth gals.
Like it or not,i will be back!!!
I saw IT! on 9/19/2017 at 6:20.
All management are top notch and professional. Recent renovations with comfortable seats and new carpets.Theaters are cleaned regularly. The counter and ticket personnel are pleasant and friendly. Overall, attending the Marquee Cinemas, Galleria 14, Beckley, WV is one of my favorite events.
A good cinema. Quality image, sound and comfortable chairs)
Terrible customer service and you now have to choose your seat when you buy a ticket. We had to sit near kids who talked the entire film thanks Marquee. Not coming back.
I loved going to the movies. It's almost a once a week thing to do with my mother and sister.
Great movie theater that has 2 3d theaters and a bunch of normal theaters. Has an awsome classic movie 2 times a week and does special movies for kids.
Nice theater. Unfortunately when they replaced the seats they made them smaller. So you are basically right on the person next to you. My advice is to not go when it is crowded
They are renovating.
edit 3.7.17 Not sure if they are still renovating. Theater was quite cold and they have decided to use assigned seating (choose seating while purchasing tickets). Not a fan. Seemed to be clumped in "popular" sections while you have no way of knowing before hand who/how many are seated near you. What if you'd like to move?
This is a overall nice clean theater but it seems to be run poorly by the teenagers that work there. They sold tickets to an adult knowing that they were for kids not old enough to watch the movie and then when the kids went to go in to watch the movie the attendant wouldn't let them in without a ID to prove their age. They didn't get to watch the movie but they would not refund their money either. Something don't seem right about that to me about that. Did they think they could just keep their money? If they didn't want to let them watch the movie then they shouldn't have sold the tickets for that movie. Turns out that the snotty attendant didn't like one of the girls that was gonna watch the movie. Teenage drama!!! WAKE UP MANAGEMENT AND HIRE MORE GROWN UP PEOPLE THAN THAT.
