I posted a review on CAMC general by mistake. I will try to copy it here where it belongs. My mom was there week before Halloween. Her first night her phone was stolen and the staff said it was probably mixed in with the laundry. Well, security told us phones are stolen ALL THE TIME! He also said that in all his time there he only saw 1 phone returned.
Worse though, the different doctors involved did not seem to know what the others were doing. It was days of us being asked if tests were done, or telling us what the docs said was not ordered in the system. Suffice to say, s cluster.
When a sleep study was not done, and we thought it had been, they offered to keep mom one more night. She refused! Thankfully she got well enough to go home, but i really hope she never has to go back there.response / report this review -

My daughter was having stomach problems and we went to the emergency room. I know it's a city but seriously waiting for 6 hours to be seen is ridiculous. Then another 5 in the room. Unfortunately we had to go back in a couple of weeks for the same thing. Again another long wait. This time when she went back to the room we were only there about an hour because she has to be admitted. Once on the floor I could not ask for a better hospital. The nurses were all very helpful, not only to my daughter but also to me and my husband. Bravo to the dedicated nurses.

my husband were having chest pain and he was there from 2:00 PM and was not seen by a doctor until 1:00 Am. Please do not go to this ER , go to cable Huntington, anywhere but CAMC, the worst ER, in the Sate of WV. I really don't think they deserve a star. Administrative you need to put more staff on the clock and the lazy doctor must get on the ball!!!

My brother is a retired physician , he was hospitalized on an emergency basis at Memorial Hospital for 48 hrs for permanent pacemaker placement. I'm also a physician who lives in another state and came to Charleston to take care of him.I have practiced in three hospitals and have accompanied family members to MDAnderson and Mayo Clinic .I was truly impressed by the patient care at Memorial Hospital.
Nursing staff is dedicated to patient care, extremely pleasant and knowledgeable.The environment is also very clean,quiet and comfortable.

I want to publicly and loudly celebrate an experience with my mom the last week at CPICU.
My mom came up from the Er via the cath lab in bad shape on a vent and we wondered if she would make it through the day. Her nurse Tena Taylor was outstanding she knew medically how to fine tune the medicines talk with the docs and she cared. It was like watching her take care of her own mother. Her nurse for the next three 12. Hr. Day shifts was Andrea. If she isn't as gifted a nurse as Tena she is tied for it. Again, medical knowledge administered with care and tenderness. Another nurse who Deserves honorable mention is Jessica Jackson. I hope I got these 3 names correct. Thank you for taking care of my mom and I apologize for nor remembering Andrea s last names. Mom is now at Hospice Hubbard House but these nurses the people on this floor and their nursing leadership are what happens when skilled nursing , is united and valued along with patient and family careresponse / report this review -

Why tell someone they can go home before noon and still be waiting to be discharged at 5pm? Pathetic, dirty hospital. Ugh! Go elsewhere.

Awesome place, great staff! They saved my mother's life! We couldn't have asked for a better team of doctors and nurses!
