This place is a joke I wish I could rate it a zero. My husband has been here for a week and the level of care is just awful. Not to mention the cleanliness is just not up to par the come in the room and wipe the sink and toilet each day that's it. Most nurses are great a few do nothing but sit around and talk about all the patients. You walk down the hall and hear all the gossip and treatment each patient is getting. The trauma nurse in the er is by far the worst here the attitude you get from her and her saying she doesn't care and that it's not her problem when we said we did not feel he was getting the care he deserves. So I definitely wouldn't come here I would save your time and go somewhere else because when we tried to get transferred out of here they would not put the orders in so therefore the insurance will not pay for a move then. Do not get your self stuck here like he unfortunately has especially if it is life or death.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My nurse, Cynthia, was absolutely rude and hateful. Kept getting an attitude with me. I also was disgusted with the HIPPA violations going on there. Nurses were literally talking about every patient and their medical treatments. The nurse practitioner was doing the same thing! I heard all about my bloodwork and everyone elses results in the ER. I just wanted to leave I regret not taking the time to go to Charleston. To make matters worse my "doctor" told me what google said about one of my symptoms. I am not from WV and can not believe they would let these idiots be in charge of saving lives.

What a morning. Had to be there at 7:00 AM. Surgery at 9. Here we are 5 1/2 hrs later and all we got is an IV drip. Still got 2 operations and some cath lab patients in front of Hubby. Talk about over booking. TV wouldn't work, no phone in room, ask for blanket cause room was so cold. Then ask for the heated air mattress. Nurse went to get him one and never came back. The room just kept getting colder.? He has had nothing to eat or drink since midnight. Need I say more. Dr. Said, he will keep him over night since his 9AM surgery will be closer to late evening. Everyone was so nice after we threw this fit on them. Even got me a cup of coffee. Yea !!! This hospital really needs a reorganization plan. I would not recommend it at all.

This hospital is an excellent place to receive healthcare. I went there in the past several weeks several times for testing and the staff was incredibly courteous, compassionate and really seemed to want to help me. Kudos!!

Save yourself the trouble, find a different place to go. They screwed up a simple surgery on my hand, were overpriced, had a billing error they refused to fix, and overall had terrible service. We arranged a payment plan, but they have no record of the conversation (yet they said they record all the phone calls, but wouldn't review the call I made?). They sent my bill to collections with no warning as I was paying monthly installments. Save yourself the trouble. I regret my trip here more than anything in my life. Seriously.

ER slow as hell..Doctor had fun hanging out in the front office with the ladies while I waited for 4 hours with a sick 1 year old.

Doctors were awesome and so were a few staff members. However some sit out complaining about patients asking for thing at nurses station. Must not have many employees because my room had fecus on soap dispenser. Forgot to hook up my iv for 6 hours and I'm still waiting on my Tylenol and Zantac.

Raleigh General, is a terrible hospital. Their behind in technology. Their doctor's have no clue what their doing. The best thing about the hospital is the nurses. You have to wait almost 10 hours before someone calls you back to their emergency room.
Instead of remodeling the hospital, hire better doctor's and Staff. Purchase new equipment so your patience can have the best care.response / report this review -

Please do not go there for care. They touch (take) lives. A crooked place that paid a doctor to place heart stents in people who did not need them. Lives were lost and damaged over this. The hospital was fully aware and approved of this money making fraud! They should be closed down for this but are still open "touching lives ". Only chose 1 star above because they don't give the option for negative unto infinity stars! It was in the news just Google it..

Received terrible care. Had a 15 minute surgery to fix a broken finger and it cost over 25,000 dollars. You'd think for that price the expert West Virginian surgeons would be able to actually fix my finger. Alas, it is nearly as crooked as the day I went in. Thankfully insurance brought the price down to 2000, but i would have went anywhere else in hindsight. Would you pay 2000 dollars to fix a broken bone 5%? Of course you wouldn't. And they wouldn't tree ice the price any even though my finger isn't fixed. I would gladly take back my money and have a slightly worse finger. I will never recommend this crooked place with terrible doctors.
