Off the beaten path. Directly
across from the north entrance to Marina State Beach. Doggie friendly and nice looking. Directly outside the last entry ia trail to walk the dunes, beautiful,
This place is a great way to get away from the house. Located a couple of blocks from the beach and shopping plus fuel. It is also right off the highway for your convenience.
The showers and toilets are the best! Very up to date and clean. The RV spots are spacious and green, with a good BBQ and fire pit. Also wifi is very fast. The highway is close by so there is lots of noise of passing cars. Most sites are full hook up, these sites are expensive, most expensive sites during our whole trip where here. Monterey is close by and the beach is just a 10 minute walk, the beach is beautiful.
Can't say enough good about this place.
Location is perfect. A bit pricy but that's the California coast for ya. Staff was "really" helpful. Maintenance guy, Nathan, directed us into our spot and we backed in first shot (because of him not us).
Most of the staff greeted us daily and wanted to know how our stay was going.
Newly remodeled bathrooms and showers.
Cozy rec room with pool table, fire place and large screen. Clean small gym. Sites are level and clean. We felt safe and very much at home here.
Worst thing about it was having to leave.
My family stayed at the Marina Dunes RV Resort several weeks ago. We were very pleased with the remodeled restrooms and the always clean campground. While I was there I managed to sever the power cord to my trailer.. I approached one of the parks maintenance workers, whose name was Nathan. I explained my predicament and he quickly volunteered to rewire my trailers power cord. When he was completed, I started to give him some money and he would not let me pay him. This guy is just a shining example of the wonderful caring staff that works at Marina Dunes RV Resort. Walking distance to the beach, a short drive to the Monterey-Carmel peninsula, makes this a great stay. My family and I will be back again and again.
What a pleasant surprise this place was! We were a bit worried tent camping at an RV park but it is very clean and very quiet. The bathrooms are so nice and the clubhouse is a nice touch. Love the proximity to coastal access! The management is super friendly too!
Worst place to ever camp.does not deserve even one star maybe -5 stars. very rude staff. Very Very dirty bathrooms. mold on walls not good. Also Check out time is at 12 and they harassed us and threaten to charge us because we were leaving at 12:05. We were all hooked up and ready to pull away just saying good buy to our friends. ground services guys watched us to pull away. stood there from 11:45 until we pulled out. Then said we dumped sewer on the ground. because we complained about the bathrooms. Really!!! Lairs! Nice thing is we took pictures with our friends before we left of all of us together and in the background is clearer then we left it site. we were with 4 different couples camping none of us are going back ever. Don't wast your money here
We had a great weekend with our family at the aquarium! We were able to purchase 2 day tickets for the price of 1 day for the whole family!! The staff was very friendly and helpful!
Unexpected construction on the bathrooms and showers. No compensation from the owners or staff. Noisy at night. No room for privacy. Overpriced for the location and luxury. If you are camping in a tent, don't camp here. There are many other, more qualified places to stay.
Nice park. Very noisy with highway 1 at your back door.
When I checked in I requested sites 50 - 54. I was told the park was booked.(Full)
I was there 4 days and these sites sat there EMPTY. Why Lie?
THE PARK WAS 30 PERCENT FULL AT BEST
Not a bad park, but a little tight. We had full hookups and everything worked well. The staff was nice and helpful; however, the maintenance staff needs to do a little better job on post-departure clean up. We had to wait for our "site to be cleaned" before we could check-in, but when we did get in there were papers, cigarette butts, etc strewn about the site. As others have mentioned, location is everything. Just across the street is a wonderful and dog friendly beach. Just 15 minute drive down to Monterey and Carmel.
As others have stated the location is great. It is a bit car noisy but it wasn't as bothersome as I expected. We are tent camping and I find the tent spaces a little drab. They have a table, grill and fire pit but they are backed up to a fence with RVs opposite of them. We really just came for the beach so it isn't a big deal.
We chose this place though because it's very dog friendly. It's hard to find places on the coast that allow more than 2 or 3 dogs and we are traveling with 4. They don't charge per dog like the nearby campgrounds do and they were totally cool with us having 4.
Staff is all super friendly and the amenities are pretty great and they appear to keep everything pretty clean.
At $50.80 per night (for a tent spot) with 4 dogs I'd certainly stay here again.
