Great collection of beers. Everytime I visit this place I made sure I try something new. As they get new collection of beers every month I guess, you never get bored. They have a nice classic library theme with all those NGC magazines and international flags. This places usually gets crowded but you always get a place to sip beer. The staff is quite friendly.

This is about the latte- I like hot things, but this was too hot. For the coffee folks out there, you know this means the milk is burnt. I'm sure this is a great bar, but it's not great for coffee. Atmosphere: very chill and comfy. Not loud during the afternoon. Cool music. Air smells heavily of alcohol. Not good. Staff is really nice.

Yep, you guessed it, it's a bar with a map on the walls. Also flags of different countries hanging from the ceiling. Great beer selection and friendly service. A great place to chill.

I have been here quite a few times, but this last time, when prompted to review it, may have been my best experience mainly due to the crowd being smaller. The service was amazing, both bartenders were educated and able to discuss the vast selection of beer. They were both incredibly friendly and offered pretzel sticks with our beers when we ordered. The bottom line is that if you like craft beer or imported beer, this a great little spot in Chicago to check out.

The map room is an awesome spot for chilling and kicking a few beers back. I've been meaning to check this place out since I moved to the city and finally came by with my bro on a Saturday afternoon. It does have quite a dive-y feel to it, but they have a ton of beers on tap and I like the international theme they have going on in there. Service was good here, and they have cups of pretzel sticks you can munch on while enjoying your beers. They have a good selection of board games, books, and other things to keep yourself occupied while drinking. Would recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

Only spent a short time here, but I liked the place immediately. Great selection of beer, lots of tasty things to try. It was getting busy when we left early, little cramped sitting at their tables. But the tables and walls were lined with maps as advertised, and I love maps. Bonus: the coolest looking fans I've seen.

I love the Map Room for a morning coffee and breakfast sandwich. It's a low key place with regulars and consistently friendly staff. Be prepared that the sandwiches have to be grilled and take 5-10 minutes so, sit down at the bar, read a paper, chat with the regulars. They'll have you on your way in the same amount of time as the Starbucks down the street but it'll be a more relaxing experience. Haven't visited Map Room at night for the bar experience in years but fondly remember it as being a low-key, noisy, bar option when you want something local and not pretentious.

I go to the Map Room very often for morning work and coffee. The atmosphere is excellent to crank out projects, especially the relaxed music. One piece of feedback - Please keep the TVs off in the morning when no one is watching :-) It makes it more relaxed and of course it save energy!

Great place to grab a beer in the middle of the week. Lively crowd any day of the week. Weekends can get crowded. Oh, there's also a great beer selection and full bar.

One of my favorite bars in town! Delicious international craft beers and wine at very reasonable prices with super laid back staff and clientele. They're byof and just cozy to hang out in. A perfect bar!
