A few months ago I was a patient at Manatee Memorial Hospital for almost a month. I always hated hospitals but I have to admit I actually liked it there. I found a whole new respect for nurses and the job that they do. They were wonderful.

Took and hour and a half to get ultra sound and into a room which we were happy with. Only to now Have been sitting in a room with my fiancé for another hour and a half and not a single person has even come into the room. What a waste of timeWould we be better off leaving and heading to another hospital???

The staff of the ER were fantastic to me and my husband. Our injuries were handled by a great team. Thank you to everyone.. Ruby was great taking our xrays. Dr. Stephanie Minter was the best!

My recent stay at MMH was beyond excellent starting with the Dr.s,. The nurses and the support staff couldn't have been more wonderful. The room was spotless, as was the rest of the hospital, the food was superb and there was zero waiting for anything. 5*s aren't enough for Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Dr. MICHAEL HENRY After 6 hours and not a word from this Dr he finally made himself known to me. Did not introduce himself and was so nonchalant and uncaring to the point of being dismissive and rude. I got up with the IV still in my arm and left. He made me feel like I was wasting his time. Never been treated so badly in my 54 yrs! Would not recommend this Dr. I left there in tears with no answers to why I had a ping pong sized lump in my neck area. Never addressed anything!! But they certainly racked up a lot of money with not one but 2 CT Scans and extra blood work as well as xrays.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff in Labor and Delivery. I had my baby back in May, the staff were knowledgeable and supportive throughout my entire stay. Mr. Brickman from anesthesia was outstanding. His expertise in a stressful situation was appreciated. Everyone I encounter at this hospital are always friendly and helpful.Thank you to the team at Manatee.

First off I have to say the nurses and staff here are wonderful. I'm currently here with my mother, and we've met some of the kindest people already. They reAlly go out of their way to help you. However there is a huge negative that has changed my view of the place some. I used to sit with my mom and stay with her 24/7 in her room when she had to come in here. Well I was told that it's against the rules now for family to sit with a loved one over night. Despite the fact I've done it seven times over the last ten years.
I'm lucky though a very kind nurse told me where I could go in the hospital and sit and try to sleep until the morning comes since I wasn't allowed to do it in my mothers room. Aside from this issue everyone really has been amazing.response / report this review -

This hospital really cares about the patients. From the nurses, housekeepers, doctors and hostess staff, they all are so pleasant and caring. I would definitely recommend this hospital to my family! In fact I have, both of my parents recently were patients here and received wonderful care too.

Have to say your ER was horrible. The last of Oct. I came because of back pain. I had a kidney infection so that was taken care of. My back pain never went away. So 5more times I was there for back pain, they never did any test just gave me steroids and sent me home. The last time I went to ER, the Dr. told me I needed an MRI. but they couldn't do it there. I called my PCP got an MRI but not for another 30 days. By the time I got to go for the test, I couldn't even stand. The same day they called my Dr. told him I needed to go to the hospital right away. I was admitted, had emergency surgery, the next day. I was told I was 3cm. away from being paralyzed. That's your ER.
I spent 31days three. I can say enough about the nurses and aids on Tower 4south. They are the best. They do enough to make sure I was comfortable.
This past Tuesday ( 06-13-17- 06-15 -17) I was there for another back surgery. Same way, nurses and aids, they are the best. Don't think I'd ever go back to the ER, but I would come back if it was a direct admit.response / report this review -

Very disappointed. I was taken by an ambulance on 5/10/17 due to an excruciating stomach pain, sweating, numbness and fainting feelings. Starting from the the ambulance girls just assuming what it was and finishing at the hospital personnel also assuming and only taking a urine sample. They did not take the time do an ultra sound, cat scan or anything else they sent me home with just pain medicine and a note to follow up with my doctor. Thank God my doctor was able to see me right away the next day. My Doctor was very angry and disappointed to learn that hospital personnel just assumed what I had an nothing was done. My doctor was able to do an ultrasound and found that the hospital professionals where extremely wrong.

A month ago I was diagnosed with Viral Meningitis. After going to 3 other hospitals & my primary care doctor - and no one seeing me. As soon as I walked into the Emergency Room I was taken to a room and taken very seriously. I stayed in the PICU for a little over a week and received nothing short of stellar service from everyone I came in contact with. I am convinced if I didn't walk in this hospital I would be dead right now. Manatee Memorial staff saved my life & I will forever be grateful.

Dr. Lee in the ICU is rude and nasty and talks to you like you are pond scum. I inquired about leaving against medical advice ( because I have a family to take care of ) and she told me "if I leave, I die". She is extremely rude, I don't know if she knows how it feels to lay in a bed for 3 days, not allowed to get up, stressing out about work and bills, and best of all not being able to eat. I think someone needs to teach her that as a doctor, you need to show a little compassion and understanding what people are going through, and push your god complex aside.

It's the best hospital in Manatee County. The staff is very compassionate of your needs and I agree the food was good. I was at our other local hospital and the food was so bad that I lost 20 lbs while there. Nobody noticed I wasn't eating either.
