Not a lot of restaurants like this anymore, where you can get food in a romantic setting that feels more like your mom's kitchen than a chic hotel bar. Be prepared for an hour wait for two on a Saturday, but there's plenty of space to sit and enjoy a cocktail or two beforehand. You could probably order anything and be happy.

It was just okay. Prices are too high for the portion sizes and quality. Meatballs were tough and the red sauce tasted like out of a tin can. Was pretty disappointed. They also upcharge if you want a Cesar salad and also if you share your plate with a kid or spouse. So much for "family style". No idea why this place has such rave reviews.

Pretty restaurant but Way over priced. Tiny portions. Super cramped, dark, and stressful seating and waiting area. Sauce tasted like it came from a can. And if you are a "family" ran Italian restaurant, DO NOT put a share charge on the menu. If I bring my young kids and you don't have a kids meal, you better not charge me for sharing my food.

We started with bruschetta Which had great flavor but was not crisp as it should be. I had chicken involtine. Chicken was super small, sauce was not homemade, and the stuffing was near extinct. Side salad was good but again really small. My husband is a traditionalist and order spaghetti and meatballs. Again small portion and canned sauce. He also said the meatballs were tough. My 3 year old liked them though.

Most definitely my favorite restaurant in Indianapolis. You have to get the bruschetta. It's unlike any bruschetta I've ever had. Every dish I've tasted has been excellent (and the presentation is great, too). I love finishing my meal with a nice cup of coffee or espresso. Service is always excellent and the servers are nice. Love the building and the warm atmosphere.

Never a disappointment, my favorite place to go to for Italian. I don't even mind the wait sometimes because the food is worth the wait. The waiting staff is as professional as it gets, and they truly believe in customer satisfaction.

NEVER AGAIN. This was my first time there and I was with a friend. They highly recommended it. Upon arrival the hostess was extremely rude and acted like we were interrupting her conversation and that we were bothering her. After that we were seated and the bread and salad came. Honestly I've had much better salads at much less expensive places. The bread was just ok to. Nothing to go home and call mom about. The entrée was the best though. My friends encouraged me to reach out to the manager on the phone to no avail of course. It was the assistant manager on the phone and they DIDN'T SEEM CONCERNED AT ALL. That's all I needed to know. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN EVER.

Romantic atmosphere!!
Great employees and most of all great food, and drinks!!!
This is now one of me and my husbands favorite Italian restaurants!!
Worth the drive from Columbus Indiana.
We definitely will b coming back a lot!!!

We were seated outside without being asked (I don't like eating with insects) and service was slow. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable, food was EXCELLENT! I had the chicken rigatoni which was wonderful and a little spicy. My wife enjoyed a Caesar salad with salmon and was delighted. I'll return and request a table inside.

We had an incredible meal. We can't wait to come back when it is warm enough to sit in the lovely court yard. Tiramisu had a Chocolate flare that was excellent. Very romantic. Will return!

Mama's is absolutely amazing! This is where my wife and I went on our first date, where I proposed to her, and where we went for our wedding dinner. Needless to say we're hooked. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great atmosphere, excellent food, and outstanding service.

What is there to say that hasn't been said. This is one of Indy's top spots for celebrating birthdays or anniversaries for grown-ups or anyone who appiciates good food in a classic setting. Tonight's trip was for my mother-in-law's birthday and didn't disappoint. We started with the calamari which is always perfectly done, with a mustard based dip that I prefer to the marinara you get everywhere else. Then came the warm bread with a perfect balance of crisp crust and soft insides, followed by salad. I prefer the creamy Italian dressing. Tonight I had the Beef Lasagna and really enjoyed it. My wife had the Veal Medallions and liked it but not as much as she has in the past. (Different chef?) Great service as usual. Always a treat to visit.

This is a place that the local crowd puts as their number one option. It is a great place to get great food. I usually like to take people here for special occasions, but not really for how nice the place is as much as how unique the place is and how wonderful the food and service and ambiance is. Not really suitable for kids unless the kids love authentic Italian. Couples and small groups are best here.

This place is a hidden gem. Food is authentic, well crafted and seasonal. Great service and lovely environment. It's a quieter place which is nice for a group (everyone can hear each other). If you are a local, come by. Theo is the executive chef and he's out on the floor from time to time to see how things are running. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
