One of my favorite places in the entire state. There is literally nothing wrong with this place. Their food is outstanding, all of their baked goods are amazing to the nth degree, and all of their in-house handmade beverages, like their coffees and Italian sodas, are outstanding. Their bar is also well stocked with some really good stuff.
It's a little pricey but honestly not bad. A real hipster vibe. I wouldn't be mad if the music was turned down a bit. But the food is the highlight of this place. Great coffee. Juicy burger. And the first place I've found that has something with horseradish in our that I will eat. And it was delicious! Pretty good little dive.
Really cool spot, great service. Not many gluten free options so baked potato for me, good potato though. The rest of my party thought the food was great. Coffee is great.
Fresh roasted beans, fresh coffee, a layout of fresh baked goods, muffins, quiche, fresh breakfast.. my favorite breakfast is the biscuits and gravy chorizo Style with an egg on top.
I've been going there for many years, I remember reading reviews about them when they first opened up and most of the complaints where that they weren't open late enough. They also have a bar that's pretty popular at night time and they have a lot of very imaginative drinks
When I visited this location I ordered a coffee, scone, and a pumpkin doughnut. They had a choice of two types of coffee, I chose a lighter roast. The coffee was nice and the pastries were very good. I have had better of both however they were very well done. The location itself was a big issue for me. Due to the light rail it is very difficult to reach the shop if you happen to be on the opposite side. If you are on the same side as the shop it becomes more difficult because there are very small signs displaying the shop. When I did find the place I was assured that there was a sign however even with close inspection I didn't see it. Parking is a nightmare since the limited street space is occupied by the local residents and the sole parking lot for three establishments is very undersized for even one business. Inside is very cramped and during rushes brings a sense of claustrophobia and gives you the idea to get out of others way. I would be willing to give this place four stars for a solid product however the location in so many ways ruins it for me. I also feel the products, although good, are too expensive for what is delivered.
Great food, great coffee, great atmosphere. Never been to a place like this before. And not only do they serve and roast their own coffee, but they also have a full bar with great drinks and great food. 5 stars for sure! My go-to drink is an iced caramel latte.
Hip coffee and liquor bar in Midtown/Uptown. There are always people here. The way coffee shops used to be. Great ambiance and plenty of room to roam around inside and out. Large selection of pastries and menu items as well. Great spot in the heart of town!
Are you a hipster in downtown Phoenix who needs a cup of artisan coffee? Need a fresh baked pastry? How about some roasted beans instead of a cup? If you answer yes to any of these, you're found the right place. The line can get long so bring some patience with your wallet.
It's a GIANT coffee shop with great food, great service, great people, great vibes. But great vibes is an understatement.
Fresh food laying around everywhere. Smiles on faces. Open kitchen, open hearts. Warm food, warm welcomes. There are some of the coolest people in the valley here.
I don't know how to explain it, but this place feels inviting, open, warm, friendly, homely, comforting. Ancient yet modern, in all the best ways. Like a Mom and Pop shop, or a village bakery, or a medieval restaurant. There's a fulfilling sense of community here.
Would give more stars if I could.
This place is a cool setting to drink coffee or have a great cocktail. Their lattes are good because their coffee beans are good but drinks could be better if they adjusted their shots to milk ratios. It makes it worse that they are overpriced compared to other great coffee shops in downtown Phoenix. Their large drink has the same amount of shots as the small one and it often tastes like a glass of milk. My favorite things here are their home made whip cream and the jalapeno bacon mac and cheese.
Not thrilled about this place. Came here late Sunday morning. I have never been here before, and the employee who was taking drink orders was very snippy to me when I asked for their drink options. Come to find out, they were out of half of everything on the menu. There were very few seating options, and most of them were full. The furniture was gross and cracked and probably from an alley or Goodwill All this aside, after waiting patiently for well over an hour for the food to arrive, we found out that they hadn't even put our ticket in the system after paying. We were not even offered the option for a refund. While the food is good, it's quality does not outweigh the terrible service and atmosphere at Lux. Will not be going here again.
This is one of the best coffee spots in the Valley. They prepare all of the usual coffee drinks well, and they have lots of cool food options like bacon jalapeño mac & cheese. It's a little bit pricey, but worth it as a once-in-a-while treat.
Super chic and hipster-ish, great drinks (coffee, tea, hot/cold etc, alcohol) and amazing desserts. I haven't had much of the food but the mac n' cheese is pretty bomb. But be prepared for CHEESE! 😄 I go here all the time
We have always enjoyed the food. The selection of different dietary foods is amazing. The staff are fun hard working and many artists and attend university as serve us our food.
The conversations can be a very much of the modern disscusion like forums in college, if you reach out to someone near by. Thank you for a worthy place to be.
Pretty good coffee, although there are better roasters in the area. The atmosphere is on point if you're looking for a laid back hipster spot to chill with friends, or even a quiet place to study. There are 4 different seating areas as well as a bar and outdoor seating. Each offers a unique ambiance that suits the mood of your specific visit. TRY THE HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM! You're welcome.
