While the food and drinks were 5 star, the service was terrible. Our waiter, Philip, seemed overwhelmed at times by his 5 sat tables. Myself and a few work friends had dinner and a drink each and when we asked to split the bill he went in to a long speech about how 'hard' it is for him to split checks, it would take 15-20 minutes and he would need to get a managers approval. Once the bill came, there was a $50 bottle of wine on our tab that our table hadn't ordered. As someone who has worked in the restaurant/service industry for over a decade I was shocked at the terrible service.

Update: it's now been 20+ minutes since he took our bills back to correct. We still haven't been given correct checks, let alone paid.

We meet friends here once or twice a year. Great selection, good food and drinks and prices aren't as high as in major cities (not cheap though either!)
And the staff is very attentive.

The food was good but the service was painfully slow! Our pasta came out and then we waited 10 minutes for someone to bring us cheese. Never asked if we wanted more wine until we were all done the meal. Will try elsewhere before going back.

This was my first time here and not my last. The restaurant was beautiful, the food fantastic and the service top notch. It was too cold for the gondola ride so that will be one of the first things I do on my next visit. I had duck which I like anyway but this duck was mouthwatering good and full of flavor.the meat and cheese selections they chose were perfect.

The only thing I wish was different was the fact that the pe-fix meal had to be ordered by the whole table or else no one could have that selection. So if need be I will go alone so I can give it a try. :-)
