Small restaurant which is nice because it keeps it from feeling over crowded. Bar is nice and separate from the rest of the restaurant. Relatively fast service. Huge portion. Drinks are a bit small and some what expensive, but also wonderful. Food portions are very large and pretty decently priced.
They need to put more a lot more effort into training their staff. Our waitress would rarely come to our table and she forgot our drinks twice. My wife's order, tacos (You know, what this place is known for?) Never came out. We had 3 different people come out to ask us if our food was alright, only to have us repeat that we were still waiting on her order. "Let me check with the kitchen" was the usual response. They finally brought it out as we were all finished with our meals and my wife had them take it back our of frustration. Food was par for the course, nothing special. Ultra expensive margaritas for what you get.
The size of the restaurant is relatively small but that is part of what I like about it. Dimly lit bar area is a great hangout for after work or on the weekends. They also have a pretty good sized out door seating area which is great when the weather is nice. Their hand made margaritas are fantastic and they have a variety of different flavors, they are a must have when you visit! The food is also superb, and the portions are generous. This is a great destination for when you want a delicious drink or you've got the craving for some delicious quality Mexican food!
Updating this review four stars to one, not sure if they were just having a bad night or some other reason. Went there Saturday night and after 20 minutes of being seated no one came over to our table to take our drink order or even identify themselves as our waitress. There were other people there but they weren't that busy, plenty of open tables. We pointed this out to one of the workers walking by and waited another 4 or 5 minutes and still nobody came over. We decided to leave and told the three people standing around the register what had happened and they had no comment so we left.

Good food and margaritas! Fast service!
A+ and then some 😛
Reasonable and really good. Authentic corn tortillas, food was not overly salty or smothered with too much cheese. Just right!
Best margaritas around, and the food is delicious! Great happy hour specials too.
Meh. Food is just okay. The waitstaff are nice. Atmosphere okay. Happy hour prices okay.
Excellent food, great service, fun live music.
service was very slow even though there were no other guests. we went for lunch. Food was ok. I've had better locally.
Great lunch. Lunch size portion perfect. Chipotle cheeseburger a neat twist on a classic.
Margaritas needs more flavor. Tacos are good, fry ice cream good but don't overloaded with cream no need for it.
The absolute worst service on the planet!!!!! The wait staff was either hiding in the kitchen or watching soccer on tv. Bartender was snotty!! I asked for a menu and never saw anyone again. Had to order from the bar but was sitting out on the patio. The only thing that was good was the live entertainment. Not recommended!!!!
Great time sitting on the patio! Food was and service was good. Live entertainment on Sunday was an added bonus!
Great food & service! I recommend the steak burrito. :-)
Pomegranate margaritas are the bomb. Food is great. Priced well and good environment
Best Mexican food and Margaritas around! Fantastic service, reasonable prices, and great selection. Would recommend (and have) to anyone who likes good authentic Mexican food. The outside patio makes the place even better in summer! My whole family's favorite restaurant.
Great food and service this is the most authentic Mexican food you can get. Check out the Dinner Mole their food is really home made, the margaritas are the best. If you come in a sunny day they have a really nice patio in my opinion they have the BEST!!!!!!
MEDIOCRE Mexican food at best. Why is it so hard to find good Mexican food in Connecticut? The Mexican food trucks on Long wharf blow half these restaurants out the water. Everything just lacked flavor and freshness, the waitress had a puss on her face the entire time and tried over charging us when we clearly ordered off the lunch menu and they charged us for dinner prices then tried to justify it by saying the women who gave us our menus didn't speak English ..well then hire someone that does. The drinks were good and strong so I guess if you need just a place to post up and have a few drinks it's not bad but coming from someone who has an appreciation for fresh genuine authentic Mexican cuisine this food sucked.Chilis makes a better enchilada
