Very clean, quiet, peaceful place to stay. Extremely welcoming employees. Would highly recommend to people looking for an overnight stay. Very close to downtown.

My favorite place to stay in the Bay area. Not your run of the mill hotel. Is it special? No, not really. But how many hotels are? Do they do everything right? Absolutely! The rooms are different than your big chain hotels with a cool, comfortable feel to them. And again, they do everything right. A little bit off the big city but well worth the extra 10 minutes it takes to get there.

When I first arrived at the Los Gatos Lodge I felt it appeared to be an apartment complex. But reception went smoothly and I was put into an upstairs Suite. The room was very well equipped with an amazing jacuzzi dual sinks and a very comfortable bed. I was able to get a lot of work done and there was no extra noise. overall I would say the experience was quite good for what I paid.

I liked it. The room was spacious. Bed was comfy. Only problems was not a great wall ac and hardly any plugs or easy to get to plugs. But i still liked the room. It felt very 3's a company.

The hotel is on a nice location and the staff is very friendly. However.. The hotel is very outdated and in need of a major renovation. They need to start with the beds which are ultra soft and extremely uncomfortable which you will feel it in the morning! Almost no power outlets, I had to unplug the alarm clock from the hotel in order to be able to charge my phone. The walls are paper thin making for lots of noise. The bathroom showers are from the 1970's and it looks like they just been recycled over and over. The water temperature is very hard to regulate. Overall nice place BUT I would no back.

Was once a charming hotel. Now is run down, with a cheap remodel to make it look good on the surface. But the remodel was insufficient with stained carpets, holes on the walls, and bugs everywhere.

I have never left a review - good or bad, at a restaurant, hotel or otherwise, but I felt compelled to here. We stayed in room 115 and I would never stay here again. The wallpaper was held together with clear pushpins, the carpet was filthy and the bathroom was appalling. Worse than the condition, was the operational use of the bathroom. The water turned on in the sink by itself more than once and when you turned the cold water on a pounding from the wall shook the fixtures! The shower had two temperatures - scolding hot or ice cold - nothing in between. Every shower resulted in standing outside the shower to finish, but luckily, the piping in the wall would make a loud, horrendous sound signaling that a change was about to occur (even though you didn’t change the fixtures). The chemical, disinfectant odor is absolutely atrocious. After the first night we stopped by the front desk to minimally ask if the shower could be evaluated. We were told they were booked but otherwise we could switch rooms. I asked for the maintenance man to look at the shower and was told he’d be by the next day at 9:30 a.m. The morning came and went and he never came nor was there any follow up. Do not stay here. Do not waste your money. We seriously considered leaving, despite having used our hotel rewards in advance. Wish we would have! Alfred Hitchcock Route 66 Truck Stop hotel gone wrong! Beware!

It was move in weekend at UCSC so almost all area hotels were either fully booked or had jacked their prices so high it didn't make sense to stay there. Los Gatos was available and had reasonable prices so we gave it a try. My room was nice enough but seemed to be designed for a very short person. The mirrors and shower head were so low I had to bend down to use them. The bathroom had mold in the corners. The place in general stayed noisy until after midnighton the other hand the grounds are pretty and it's convenient to Santa Cruz. For the price we paid it was ok. It just may be due for a bit of an overhaul.

Attended my cousins wedding at this place. Staff was very friendly aside from the bartenders. Food tasted amazing and the wedding was beautiful. Giving 3 stars because of the poor attitude of the bartender. I wasn't drinking and I got the short end of the stick from them. Also the pavement here is VERY uneven in multiple areas and my 60 year old aunt hit pretty hard from tripping over the uneven walkway outside our room. Management didn't seem to care about it. As far as the wedding went I give 5 stars. Fix the attitudes of the bartenders and the pavement and the lodge would also get 5 stars! Beds were comfy and rooms were clean.

We hosted a surprise birthday party for my mom this weekend at Los Gatos Lodge. Everything was set up and run beautifully, food was great. Simon, who was in charge of 3 banquets that night, was so incredibly helpful with all of our needs (and we were very needy). Highly recommended!

I find many of the reviews opposite from my experience. The room was spacious, clean, and had the usual amenities. Great location, close to downtown. Also, the staff were cheerful. We'll be back.

Nice quiet place, spent evening with family. They have a bar, didn't have to venture out. Pool looks great at night, and the room is spacious.

Good hotel overall. Great area. Buildings are being refurbished so those that haven't been yet are dated, but cozy. Inside is clean and has a cabin feeling to it with a lot of windows for natural light.

Great location, GREAT Restaurant & Bar !
But the rooms:
*The double beds do not sleep 2 people (maybe 2 toddlers)
*There is an extra charge for the roll-away 2" mattress
*The A/C unit (window/wall unit) rattles the shower head
*The A/C unit blows debris in the room on the bed
*DO NOT walk barefoot on the carpet - your feet will be BLACK and I do mean BLACK - disgusting
*If the shower is runs in a room nearby you will not have hot water - you will have a cold shower until the other shower turns off and than its way too hot
*Electrical outlet some did not work
*TV most channels are blurry and blinking - unwatchable
*The walls are paper thin and you can hear the conversation of the next room
*The diesel trucks from the construction workers that stay there should not be allowed to park so close to the lodge room doors
