We enjoyed the ranch. We went on the wagon ride instead of driving our car through and I'm glad we did. The driver was funny and informative. We were above the animals so we felt safe and we didn't get puddles of drool in our car. Haha. It was a fun day.

Great place to bring kids. We did the wagon ride and had Shelby as our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and made the ride much more interesting and exciting. I highly recommend taking the wagon. It allows you to see all the animals up close, and feed all that approach. Plus you will learn more from the guide. Going through with your own car seems like it might be hazardous for your windows and mirrors; the animals with large horns are not very aware of where those horns are! The animals seem happy and definitely well fed. Definitely a must see if you are anywhere within driving distance. Pretty reasonable prices too, especially for a group.

I'm not going to lie, I resisted going to this place. I was not excited at the prospect of feeding animals from the car, and possibly getting scratches on it. Finally, after years of putting it off, I was forced to go for a family gathering and had a blast! I can't speak to the experience of feeding the animals from inside a car, but doing so from the bed of a truck was hilarious and fun, especially with a group when the animals are coming at you from all sides. Make sure to get a few buckets of feed when you go, you will run out before the end of the ride. Also, beware the llamas, they spit!

Such an amazing experience. My cousins loved it because of all the friendly animals like turtles, kangaroos, alpacas and even giraffes. You travel on the path with your car and pay to get a bucket with food to feed them with out your window. They won't bite you so don't worry. I give it 5 stars because it's well deserved and not many people know about it so its not crowdy at all. There is also a little path near the opening that has a beautiful scenery and even more animals. Great for family outings.

We have always enjoyed our time spent there I would have given it 5 stars but the water bowls in the parrot's cage was completely empty on our last visit.

You can take a hay ride or drive your vehicle through the property to see and feed the animals. If you drive, your vehicle might get scratched by horns. We had a blast, I highly recommend going. Make sure to feed the animals by handfuls, they will steal the entire bucket.

Such a cool place you get to feed animals you may have never had the chance to before coming here.. I wouldn't suggest driving your Sunday driver here because it's definitely gonna get animals hooves on it.. overall I enjoyed my time the buckets of food are pretty big so it makes the additional cost not so bad. They only accept cash so don't forget to check the prices and have enough to go through.

Had a great time with the family. Adults and children alike enjoyed all the different animals. We did the wagon ride and feel like it was worth it. The animals come right up and you get to be super close to them. Very fun.

Wow, what a fun experience! Driving through is convenient because you don't have to get out of your car, however I would argue that going on the group wagon ride is a must! The drivers are well informed and taught us so much about the animals. Children and adults alike will love Lazy 5 Ranch!

A very unique experience with the animals coming right up to your vehicle. They will even stick their heads inside if you let them. So, beware of the ostriches. :-) Two buckets of food was just enough to make it through with two kids if you don't let the animals eat straight from the bucket. Make sure to walk through the park as well. There are lemurs.

Kids 2 & 4 loved it. Took LONG time to get into the animal area. Be prepared, the buffalo were right at the gate, and their giant heads freaked out the kids. TIP: animals will rip the food bucket out of your hands and the you're left with a long ride and no food. Bring another container, and dole out smaller amounts in the park's buckets. Not a huge variety of animals, but you get to be close to most of them. Terrible lack of signage. Plan on being patient, but well worth a visit

The family always has fun here! Recommend buying a couple buckets of animal feed. It is so much fun seeing and feeding all those amazing animals! Great day trip from Charlotte. Car can get a little dirty but it's worth it!

This was literally the best experience of my life! I was visiting family (I'm from New York City) and we stumbled upon this spot. At first we thought it was a farm where you walk around, and it is you can buy the buckets of food and park the car and walk around ( they give you a map) but this is also an almost like Safari ride!!! You can either ride a wagon or use your own car. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK (in the entrance). It was seriously amazing being so close to the animals , they have zebras giraffes pigs it was so much fun. Kids will definitely love it. Make sure you buy more than one bucket of food because it tend to finish up quite quickly.

We had an enjoyable day learning about the animals. It really is a great place to take field trips. As a teacher, I felt the park needed much more signage. Starting at the main entrance, we drove past the entrance because of the lack of sufficient signs to grab our attention. There needed to be "You are here" signs to guide your walk. On the cages there needed to be a name of the animal and a factoid about the animal. Having signs would help the walker to use their zoo time more effectively. I would love to visit again and see clear, informative, time saving signs.
