This is a top notch kart track. The karts go real fast and the track is very technical and challenging. It's a little pricey for regular visits but for what the track offers the price is actually a good deal. It is easily addictive and I'm looking for a good excuse to return.

Fast, fun, intense racing. Things I wish I’d known before my first lap:
1. Brake before turns 6, 8 and 11, otherwise just lay off the gas if you want to slow down.
2. If you brake hard, you will spin. End of story.
3. You can turn as hard into a turn as you want and the kart will gently oversteer, not understeer, and scrub speed. Way more predictable and manageable than hard braking.
4. Speaking of turning hard, the karts can handle some ridiculous lateral Gs. Just point and shoot.

Took me 3 races to figure this stuff out and I’m still mystified by turn 8. Have fun!

*MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE* Doesn't say this on their website and we came from over an hour away with a fifteen and sixteen year old. The other track place thats not even 10 min down the road was closed for an event (they have tracks for fast ones annnd slower ones!). Thank goodness for the lazy 5 ranch!

Awesome place , wet dream for racing. Jake was awesome , he helped us scrub time as first timers with great tips and tricks on the track. I can't wait to race there again.

I went for the first time with my girlfriend earlier this week, and I will never go again. After we registered, we were told to go the training room, which was already full of other racers. We expected at least a brief "training" by the staff on how to operate the carts, any safety precautions, how to put on the safety gears, how to read the flags, etc (none of which were given). Suddenly, a crowd of racers left to get ready on the carts, and my girlfriend and I were told to join on the race 5 minutes later. Being a first-timer, we were not sure how to put on the gears correctly and we had to ask one of the staff members to help us. They told us to sit on the carts with the numbers that were next to our names on the screen. I distinctly remember us being 16 and 17 when we first went into the training room, but when we went out to the track, someone else was already sitting on kart 16. As we wondered around in confusion and in rain, one of the staff members came out and told us that our numbers were different. I felt that adequate safety training or instructions weren't given before we were put on or "rushed" to the track. Being short and petite, my girlfriend was given a seat booster by one of the staff members. Having felt rushed, she could not properly locate the seat-belt and cut her hand deep during the process. After she struggled for a while, a staff member finally came and helped her adjust her seat. Also, no instructions were given on whether it's recommended to bring our personal items such as a cellphone with us on the track. She had placed her cellphone in her backpocket. After the race had completed, the cellphone was irreversibly damaged with water, as it started pouring on the track, and there were certain locations on the tracks where rainwater had gathered by a significant amount. I wasn't expecting to be babysat by the staff, but if we were at least briefed on safety and gear/kart instructions for a couple minutes, we would not have felt so rushed and unsafe. I was disappointed at the unfriendly staff members and the lack of safety training/instructions. I went because of the positive Google reviews which claimed that the staff were friendly and put safety as priority. My experience proved otherwise, and it was very disappointing. From the reviews, we believed the place would be accommodating to people of all experiences and levels. We were treated as if we had already been to this place several times, when in fact we were there for our first time. I think that our experience would have been much better if we had a few minutes of actual training and some safety instructions.

Great track, fast carts, just wish they gave you a little bit more for your money. $45 for two 10 minute races is pretty steep. I feel like 15 minutes a race would be right on par with the price.

I have come to the motorplex many times and have spent thousands of dollars here. I have always had a blast except for the last few times I have come. The manager on duty was very unprofessional and disrespectful. I got a black flag for other racers bumping me and wasted 2 min of my race each time. Also, I think you need to have qualifying lap times or get kicked off. Its dangerous when I'm going 55 mph and you have a person doing 10. That is a hazard to the other racers and to your reputation. I think I should have been comped a race for that idiocy. I would love for management to reach out.

This place is a blast! Great for parties and family and friends with some just experience. These rentals go towards of 50 mph if you dare to push it.

Had an absolute blast at GoPro Motorplex!! This track is very well maintained, the karts are definitely quick, and the prices are fair considering. I went for 3 sessions, and since the track has a $15 per session when it's under 50 degrees deal, I jumped on it!

The competition skill level was mixed for my three sessions, and I found plenty of challenging racing! Of course, your end goal is to put down the fastest lap possible, so where you start or finish doesn't really matter. In the end, I took home 3rd fastest. Not too shabby I thought :)

The staff were courteous, and well trained. There was always at least 2-3 employees out on the track during the sessions to make sure everyone was safe, and the track also had lights all over to make sure you know if there was a yellow or red flag during the race for extra safety.

This is an amazing facility, and I'm eagerly looking forward to my next trip!

Awesome Karting experience. Ran my first competition there last night and it was a blast. Have been there for rental races many times before. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
