When 3 different orthodontists recommended immediately pulling between 4 and 6 baby teeth from my 6yo, two of them wanting to add an expander that I would painfully "dial up" every night, her pediatrician asked that I not make any decisions until we saw Dr. Del Toro. He explained why that approach was based on outdated info & instead gave her spacers, then partial braces to help her teeth stretch her jawline so the adult teeth would fit. Once there was room in the jaw, his wait-and see approach allowed one misdirected canine to self-correct, so my daughter only needed oral surgery on one tooth instead of two. Much better 1 tooth at age 11 than 4 or 6 teeth at age 6!!
Dr. Del Toro always showed me what was going on & spoke with ease and respect to both me and my child. Even the administrative side of things was pleasant! I recommend this office to everyone who mentions their kid needing orthodontic work.

Dr. Del Toro is very patient, kind and explains what he is going to do for my daughter's teeth. He is smart, knows what he is doing and has a gentle touch. I always recommend him to friends! Ohhe also squeezed in our other daughter on the same day of the request! I forgot to mention he went to the top dental school and ortho residency in the nation. He's also Omicron Kappa Upsilon which is equivalent to Phi Beta Kappa at the university level. Mostly though, he's just a great orthodontist but an even better person in life.

Dr. Del Toro did an incredible job aligning my teeth and correcting the issues with my bite. He made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process and really took the time to discuss the treatment with me along the way.
His office is beautiful and everyone was so nice and welcoming!
I HIGHLY recommend this office to anyone looking to improve their smile, their bite or their overall dental health.
I have so much more confidence with my new and improved smile.

Dr. Del Toro came highly recommended by several area dentists and friends. We visited 3 orthodontists for consultation and selected Dr. Del Toro. He has treated 2 or my kids over the past 4.5 years. We have been impressed with his expertise, professionalism, efficiency and outcomes. My kids had individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs which resulted in beautiful smiles. His staff is equally kind and professional (Sue is amazing!) and always willing to work with our busy schedules. When my second son had an orthodontic emergency, Dr. Del Toro went above and beyond what I expected in fixing my son's mangled braces and loose tooth. He responded quickly, in-person and professionally to my frantic call. His kindness and expertise put me at ease and were much appreciated in dealing with this unexpected incident. We highly recommend Dr. Del Toro.

Dr. Del Toro is THE BEST orthodontist in the Austin area hands down. We saw 6-7 different orthodontists for a consultation before we came here. Their diagnoses and plans were identical to each other EXCEPT for Dr. Del Toro. He takes a more conservative and gentle approach. All the other doctors wanted to pull 4 teeth before putting any braces on. Dr. Del Toro didn't even mention pulling teeth. When I asked about it, he answered that he would rather TRY to align the teeth first and then, IF necessary, extract teeth. He uses the latest technology and teaches orthodontics to students. He offers in house financing with a down payment, monthly payments, and NO interest charges OR late fees! He is honest, straight forward, and NOT a salesman. We have 2 children in braces now and both see Dr. Del Toro. We wouldn't go anywhere else!
