My husband and I just spent a most pleasant weekend at Lakeshore Cabins Resort. Our hosts made our stay very comfortable, and fired up the Finnish Sauna every night. Our cabin was so close to the lake that the waves lulled us to sleep each night. The cabins are indeed clean and cozy with very comfortable beds. Add that we were able to stay here while taking in the Porcupine Mountain Music Festival made our vacation a stellar experience. We are making this our annual getaway vacation, and hope to do this for many years to come.

My wife and I have been staying at Lake Shore Cabins in Silver City for over 22 years--both in the winter and summer months. The cabins were built quite a number of years ago--as a matter of fact, we have a picture of me at age 1 in my mother's arms, visiting Lake of the Clouds during a stay at Lake Shore (1949). There is a separate shower and sauna facility central to all of the little cabins. Not only are the cabins clean, cute, comfortable and well-maintained--but they are positioned very close to Lake Shore's private, sandy beach, beautiful Lake Superior and about 2 miles from the Porcupine Mountains State Park. The cabin rates are very reasonable for experiencing the Lake up close and personal--a feast for the eyes and the ears! Wonderful campfires, shooting stars, northern lights, rainbows, full moons reflecting on the beach--stay in these nostalgic cabins and you're in for a treat! We loved Lake Shore Cabins so much, we retired here in 2012 and live just down the road from our beloved resort!
