Be a sardine they said. It will be fun they said.
The guy who runs this is mega racist. He spouts how American Indians are conquered people and should accept their place in life without complaining. You can't get away from the highway sounds. If you need a place to stay for one night it might be worth it.

First our sites are only 27 a night they include water and electric! I am assuming you stayed with Robert ! Sorry again you did not get info passed down from the original reservation name! So you would have only paid 56 and some change as we charge per unit not per site so not sure where the 200 came from!

First I have no reservation under your name, all campers are to check in and leave there name at the desk in case of emergencys, if you stayed with a party who reserved the site I would like to make you aware that I did indeed explain about the rock fest in the back yard that we have nothing to do with as that is privet property! Sorry that person did not pass along the info! Everyone who made a reservation here for this weekend was told about it! The campground states on our webpage and throughout the grounds that no refunds are given what so ever! Sorry if you did not see those signs! The office staff consist of myself and my husband who own the campground. I am sorry if you got the impression of rude that is not at all what we were, if rude to you is not refunding your money because someone in your group did not inform you then again I'm sorry!
Aside from that, our campsites are big enough to accommodate any size unit! Most of the sites are 3o-40 ft! The restrooms are cleaned and checked on an hourly basis so not to run out of supplies! The fire pits gets cleaned out after ever guest departs from the grounds!
Sorry you had a bad experience considering the fact that there is no reservation under your name and no name on the sign in page! Perhaps you can come back when it is a little less noisy and enjoy the great north woods!

I assure you when you made the reservation you were told about the project mayhem that was being held adjacent to the campground and that we had nothing to do with it you stated it was ok there would be 2 tents turns out there were 4 tent and a ton of people! Sorry you did not read the web page as most do to get information before and after a reservation is made also sorry you felt the need to have everyone in your group slander our good name! Perhaps the next time you will ask better questions to get all the answers you are looking for! I am glad you found another camping area outside of town to enjoy your weekend!
Not family friendly or friendly to humans. Would give it negative stars if I could. Had to check in behind a bar with a rude woman and payed 168$ for 3 tents on one site and would not refund us after we decided to leave because apparently a death metal band was going to play all weekend outside on the grounds. Found a nice quiet campground the town over. I feel bad for all the seasonal campers that put up with that noise and the woman and the awful grounds.
A metal concert happened to be playing adjacent to the campground, and we were not informed. We requested a refund but didn't get one. Office staff was incredibly rude, and insisted they told us about the metal concert, but I assure they did not.
Aside from that, the campsites are small, and reek of fecal matter. The bathrooms have no cleaning or maintenance schedule, and are disgusting and in disrepair.
Firepit was full of garbage when we arrived.
Loved the campsite by the Lake! Good fishing, restaurants and lots to do in Rhinelander. Would go there again for sure.
First of all, there was no clear sign so weary travelers know where to turn in from the main road. We took the wrong road and had to turn around on a narrow road - two motorhomes and a 29' fifth wheel. When we finally found the campground, I couldn't find the office. Turned out it was in a bar, and I didn't want to go in a bar. We reserved our campsites months ago--three couples traveled 963 miles only to find our sites were in a muddy hole. Mosquitoes everywhere. The one man in our group got bitten pretty bad. Last year we stayed at a place in Michigan right next to a creek. No mosquitoes because they sprayed. We didn't even set up at Lake George. We left and stayed at the local Walmart parking lot.
We drove thru and drove out. Owner was friendly and helpful in finding the camp site but the campsite doesn't even merit a one star. Worst campsite we have ever been in. We booked this site based on the 4.8 stars on google. You have got to be kidding me. We have driven across the country and stayed in numerous rv parks, sorry but this one doesn't rate.
Great campground! Owner very friendly & accommodating. Will definitely go again.
Great little camping spot a few miles outside Rhinelander. Adjacent to grounds for Project Mayhem, a 3 day music festival, once a year in August. As of 2016 it has been going on for 6 years now. Water and electricity at all sites, free service flush toilets, coin operated showers. Cozy and quiet.
What a nice experience, very spacious site right on the lake edge. Had a wonderful relaxing quite time, four days to enjoy. watched a Packer Game with a Bear fan bartender, a very wonderful and gracious host. I know we will head back next season maybe for a little longer and earlier in the season. I would recommend this campground for enjoyment and peace and quiet . super.
